Beautiful Victorian semi detached house in Ventnor. Sleeps up to 8 guests. There is 1 downstairs bedroom with ensuite wet room, and 3 upstairs bedrooms with bathroom. The house is ideal for large families and people requiring wheelchair accessible accommodation. We do have additional facilities available for disabled guests such as a ceiling hoist, electric beds and shower chair/comode. The ground floor area is level for wheelchair users. The house is in an elevated position and has a patio area to the front with a bench to enjoy the panoramic sea views, there is also a large enclosed courtyard to the rear with patio tables and chairs.
There are sea views from the lounge area and a side sea view from the kitchen. Also sea views from two of the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen/diner/lounge has seating for 8 (including pouffe), a dining table for 8, and in the kitchen there is a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, and small freezing box in the fridge. There is a flat screen tv and dvd to the lounge area, and docking station to play MP3 players if compatible, and a gas fire. TV to all bedrooms (no satellite). There is 1 off road parking space and 1 on road space behind this, there may be additional parking on the road.
The house is ideally suited for walking and cycling holidays being on the South side of the island. There are also many places and attractions to visit locally and on the island for both children and adults.The beach at Ventnor has a level promenade which goes all the way to Bonchurch for those wanting a pleasant easy walk. The beach has recently been awarded one of the cleanest waters awards for the second year running. There are restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlour and wine bars etc. both down at the sea front and within Ventnor town.
The town itself does have several niche shops as well as the usual newsagents etc. There is a Co-Op, Spar and a newly opened Tesco Express store all in the town centre, and various takeaway places to suit all tastes. There is a cash machine located at the Spar, Tesco Express and The HSBC bank. The house is also three minutes drive from the St Boniface Down's which gives access to miles of walking and cycling and fantastic views, this is accessible either on foot or by vehicle.
