Flat 3, Alexandra House in Ventnor is a top floor self catering apartment in a private road overlooking the Haven with panoramic views of the sea and beach. It provides comfortable and well appointed accommodation for up to five people. Bed linen, towels etc are all provided and there are no additional charges.

Shops, restaurants, cafes, the esplanade, beach and the famous "Isle of Wight" paddling pool are all just five minutes away. Ventnor has a Blue Flag beach with immense Victorian charm - it is ideal for family beach holidays with beach huts, deckchairs etc available.

The apartment is suitable for holidays all year round as it is south facing with wall to wall sunshine plus full central heating. It is ideally situated to enjoy the many coastal and country walks which can start from Alexandra House! Park the car and forget it!

The Isle of Wight has been a favoured South Coast location since Victorian times. Visitors can enjoy fabulous coastal and inland scenery which is amongst the most beautiful in the UK.

The Island has a wealth of visitor attractions for adults and children such as Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill, The Needles, Osborne House and Ventnor Botanical Gardens to name just a few. These are all within a maximum of 35 minutes drive in any direction!

There are many lovely beaches, the best of which is Ventnor Bay.


Since Victorian times Ventnor has been renowned for its Mediterranean style micro climate and clean unpolluted sea air.

Ventnor still retains its Victorian Charm but features many modern and stylish restaurants with a wealth of international cuisine all of which are in easy walking distance from Flat 3 Alexandra House.

"A gorgeous flat in a superb location"

We've stayed in this flat for our summer holiday for the last few years now. It's close to the town with it's shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants and only a very short walk to the beach. The flat is very clean, with a smart decor. It has a well equipped kitchen with flexible sleeping options, but the best thing is sitting at the table in the big bay window with a glass of wine looking out over the sea.

"Amazing location for a fantastic holiday flat, it has it all."

We stayed in flat 3 for a week at the end of August just before the children went back to school. The flat was clean and comfortable with compact but well functioning kitchen. Breakfasts at the table in the big bay window overlooking the harbour were a real highlight. The flat's location is one of it's biggest benefits as it's situated on the edge of the town within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Turn the other way and it's a short walk down the historic esplanade to the paddling pool and the beach. Their are lots of shops, cafes and pubs on the front and having access to the beach hut was well worth the small additional charge as it stored all our beach things and gave a place to change.

We had a fantastic and very productive mackerel fishing trip from the harbour which the children (aged 9 and 15) really enjoyed. On non-beach days we visited Robin Hill Country Park and stayed into the evening for their twilight owl flights and light shows.

I would thoroughly recommend Flat 3 as a family holiday destination.
