Beach Home Ventnor is an ideal British holiday location sleeping up to 5 people in a tranquil setting. It offers spectacular, panoramic views of the beach at Ventnor Bay, the cliff tops and far out to sea. The beach can be reached within 1 minute from the end of the garden.
The apartment comprises a living room with balcony offering panoramic sea views and two bedrooms also with spectacular views of the sea. It sleeps up to 5. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other a double bed with single over.
It is well furnished and equipped, including internet access, wide screen TV with Sky service.
The apartment’s wonderfully relaxing environment is further complemented by sea and cliff walks in both directions, traditional breakfasts and fresh fish sold daily nearby, and a wide and plentiful variety of recreational venues and restaurants.

Living Room
The living room has spectacular sea views. Furnishings include a three seater sofas and an armchair a floor cushion, with side tables. There is a wide screen TV with DVD player and there is a full Sky TV service.
Bedroom No. 1 – The Captain’s Room
This has a double bed with s single over with a chest of drawers, wall mirror, a free standing wardrobe and a desk. It is also furnished with a maritime theme and offers spectacular sea views from two windows.
Bedroom No. 2 – Double Room
This has a king sized double bed with bedside tables, a built in wardrobe, chest of drawers with illuminated mirror and offers spectacular sea views.
Bathroom
The bathrooms includes a bath with shower attachment, toilet and hand basin and a heated towel rail.
Kitchen
The kitchen has a hob unit and built in oven and copious cupboard space. All kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery are supplied. There is a fridge freezer and a washer dryer.
A cot and high chair are also available.

There is a garden area down below which attracts the sun all day with a table and four chairs. It has partial sea views.

Bookings are subject to a £125 deposit. This will be held against breakages, damage and any extra cleaning necessary. The deposit or balance of deposit will be returned to the Visitor as soon as administratively possible after departure, providing that everything is in order and that any outstanding charges have been settled. Full payment is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. No reminder will be sent for this money.
All electricity, linen and towels are included in the cost.
A £30.00 administration charge (incl. VAT) will be payable by the visitor if they wish to change their holiday dates after the Confirmation of Booking has been issued, subject to availability and the agreement of the owner.
If any items left behind after your departure are to be collected from a property and/or returned, then a £10.00 handling charge, plus postage and packing will be deducted from your returnable deposit.
Visitors to all properties (unless otherwise stated) may take up occupation after 3.00pm on arrival and must vacate promptly by 10am on departure day. (Please note that early arrival or late departure may result in a deduction from your returnable deposit).
Once the deposit has been paid and accepted at the office below, visitors are liable for all the charges of the holiday, as a binding contract has been deemed to be made between the holiday Visitor and the Owner.
Any cancellation made by the Visitor (for whatever reason) shall be in writing addressed to Martin Ebbs at the 2 Cleeve Court Office address below. The effective date of cancellation is when written notification is received by us. We will endeavour to re-book the holiday accommodation but a cancellation charge of £100, will be levied on the Visitor. If we are unable to re-book the accommodation for an alternative date, the Visitor will be liable for the full amount due even if the accommodation is not taken up (payment is due six weeks prior to the start date of the holiday). We strongly recommend Visitors arrange full travel insurance (including cancellation cover) as soon as they submit the signed Booking Form.

The Isle of Wight in general has a wealth of interesting places to visit or things to do. For more information on places of interest please visit the library at the far end of the High Street (01983 852800) where there is a tourist information point or visit www.wightlife.com which gives a comprehensive on-line guide to every aspect of island life.
Isle of Wight has many attractions for children.
In adjacent areas, Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill Countryside Adventure Park are big favourites and also close by.
Amazon World Zoo Park in Arreton and the Isle of Wight Zoo and Tiger Sanctuary in Sandown which houses the 18 "celebrity" tigers that appeared on this year's ITV series "Tiger Island".
Isle of Wight Steam Railway, based in Havenstreet, operate a vintage steam locomotive with Victorian or Edwardian carriages on a daily basis from May to September.
The Needles Park at Alum Bay with a chairlift ride to the beach, glass studio and sweet manufactory with fireworks finale every Thursday.
For all ages Arreton Barns, Shanklin Chine and Godshill are also nearby and worth a visit.

Entertainment
There are theatres in Shanklin, Ryde and Cowes and two in Newport offering a range of life performances and shows. The Isle of Wight has a thriving festival programme. The Isle of Wight international jazz festival is held in Ventnor in April. Festivals elsewhere in the Island include the Isle of Wight Festival, Cowes week, Osborne House Classical Concert and the Isle of Wight Folk and Blues Festival and White Air Extreme Sports Festival. Within Ventnor, there is music most nights at the Spyglass Inn during summer weeks.
The Island breaks website www.islandbreaks.co.uk provides details of all possible activities across the island. There are opportunities for a wide range of pursuits including walking, cycling, windsurfing, sailing, birdwatching, climbing, flying and paragliding. Pleasure flights are offered from the Island.
The Ventnor area
The Beach
The beach is situated along Ventnor Esplanade. There are beach huts, wind breaks and deck chairs available for hire during the summer months. There are various cafes, bars and restaurants nearby and a beach shop.
The Harbour
There is a fishery offering feshly caught fish at the harbour. The Ocean View offers meals throughout the day with a magnificant sea views.
Places of interest
There are some superb walks in the area, particularly along the coastline. Walking east along the Esplanade you can visit the harbour area and waterfall then continue for over a mile along the seawall up to Bonchurch village.
Going west there is a beautiful walk along the cliff to Steephill Cove and beyond, though care should be taken with young children as the cliff edge is unfenced. Walking back from here there is the option of cutting through Ventnor Park which is also a pleasant walk.

There are a variety of places to eat out.
On the Esplanade, the Spyglass, the Met and Ocean View all offer a reasonable food service.
The Royal Hotel, Rex Piano Bar and Crab and Lobster offer high quality restaurant service and the Hamborough Hotel has a Michelin star restaurant.
In the town centre a Chinese restaurant, Tapas bar and a number of café bars.
Further afield, the White Horse in Whitwell and the Buddle Inn in Niton are noted for good food.
Traditional breakfast is served at a number of outlets on the Esplanade.
The Golden Sands on the Esplanade is noted for fish and chips

Travelling by Rail
There are regular services from the London area to Portsmouth Harbour where a fast catamaran can be picked up to Ryde Pier from where Island Line Services are available to Shanklin. Ventnor is then a short taxi or bus ride away of approximately 15 minutes.
Travelling by Air
The Isle of Wight has two small airfields at Bembridge and Sandown with facilities for private aircraft. A scheduled service from Sandown to London City Airport may be introduced.
