BookThe Isle of Wight region
The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break at any time of the year. It is an impressive island with unspoilt scenery and a wealth of fascinating attractions. For the active, there are plenty of sports to enjoy- including windsurfing, sailing and paragliding. For those who wish to escape the modern world, we're sure you'll leave the island having found exactly what you were looking for. The minute you step off the ferry onto the island there is a sense of relaxing. For a stress free, fun family holiday the island is popular all year round. For those who enjoy a physical challenge and if it is an adventure holiday you seek then look no further. With over half of the Island designated as an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' and a network of footpaths that stretches over 500 miles, it is easy to get close to nature. Alternatively, if you are looking for somewhere to be spoilt then indulge yourself in the Isle of Wight's fine restaurants, art galleries and historic houses.
The Ventnor / St Lawrence, Ventnor area
This quaint Victorian seaside resort is located at the southern end of the island and accessed via an array of steep winding roads set amidst truly stunning scenery. Sheltered by St. Boniface Down- one of the island's highest points and an 'area of outstanding natural beauty', this charming town has a uniquely mild climate which suprisingly enables tropical and exotic plants to grow throughout the area. The sandy and fine shingle beaches provide excellent facilities for watersports and offer a range of stunning coastal paths to explore. The harbour sells a broad range of fresh fish and seafood in various outliets. A wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants line the esplanade- while the Botanical Gardens are within easy reach and well worth a visit. With plenty to see and do around the island for all the family- including great walking and cycling opportunities, medieval castles, historic houses and a variety of gardens and waterfalls, this great holiday destination has plenty to offer at any time of year! The busier town of Newport is just 16 kilometers and Cowes is only 20 kilometers away!

We stayed in this luxury apartment for a short break for our wedding anniversary and a break from our teenagage kids. The apartment is simply wonderful and very spacious. Booking was simple and Lesley even organised the ferry travel for us. We had the most relaxed break for a long time, chilling out in the comfortable lounge, enjoying the views of the sea and the best nights sleep in the queen size bed. We were lucky to have some good weather to venture out and wandered down to the town most evenings where there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs, although there is everything you need to self-cater in the modern well equipped kithen. We will definitely be returning to Seaview. Response: THank you so much Jackie and Nick; delighted you had a lovely stay. Hope to see you again soon. |

This is a lovely, bright, spacious and comfortably-furnished apartment with a fabulous sea view. Booking was easy and trouble free and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive to all enquiries. Directions to the property and access were clear and straightforward. The facilities at the apartment were excellent and to a high standard, our only niggles being the lack of a dishwasher and a full-length mirror, and the shortage of useable outside space; shortcomings that were more than made up for by the high quality of the accommodation. Wi-Fi access was helpful due to the diificulty of obtaining a mobile phone signal (on Vodafone). The apartment is ideally placed in a quiet residential street. Parking is limited but we had no problem finding a space close by even in peak season. Ventnor shops and facilities are within a few minutes walk. We really warmed to the area during our week's stay. Ventnor has a huge amount to offer and time taken to explore the town will be well rewarded. We recommend the Spyglass Inn for great food and friendly atmosphere, and the Royal Hotel for a delicious afternoon tea in lovely surroundings. Steephill Cove, just a few hundred yards along the coast, is a real gem, with safe bathing and charming cafes and restarants offering great crab sandwiches and other freshly caught sea food. Response: Thanks Julian, we will shortly be adding a full length mirror and are looking into the feasibility of adding a dishwasher. We are appreciative of your positive feedback and are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Corky's Sea View Apartment. |

We stayed in Sea view for May BH and whilst the weather was miserable this do not detract from the wonderful apartment. Unlike a lot of places we stay the furnishings and household appliances were contemporary, beautiful and useful. It felt like a home from home. The owners were very responsive to requests which were dealt with in a fast and professional way. Shops, restaurants and beach were all only a few minutes away with great clifftop walks on the doorstep. Ventnor is a beautiful area of the I.O.W, we found it a little quieter than expected but I suspect this was due to the inclement weather. I would reccomend the Bistro restaurant great service, and food that would not look out of place in a london restuarant but at reasonable prices. The Spyglass in Ventnor for atmosphere and the Crabshed just outside of town for their amzing crab pasties. Response: Thank you for being our first guests into Sea View and for the complimentary review. |
