About this location
The Isle of Wight region
Just 23 miles long and 13 miles wide the Isle of Wight packs in an astonishing variety of landscapes, with a spectacular coast line, sandy beaches and rolling downs. Early tourism gained momentum soon after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert set up a summer residence in Osbourne House and an Isle of Wight holiday destination is as popular today as it was with the Victorians.
More than half the Isle of Wight has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and with a wide range of sporting and leisure activities there is something for everyone on the Isle of Wight.
The Victorian resort town of Ventnor lies on the southern tip of the Isle of wight and enjoys some of the country's sunniest summers and mildest winters. The town is a short walk around the corner with its quirky shops, supermarkets, restaurants and coffee shops.
The seafront at Ventnor is a short walk down the hill. This charming seaside town has a continental feel with restaurants and renowned pubs selling quality food and drink, looking out to sea. The beach maintains its Blue Flag status.

"Stunning views, cosy house"
Stayed in Dudley house at the beginning of autum with a couple of mates. Absolutely stunning sea views, a very cosy atmosphere and a landlord who's on the ball. Basement is a bit damp, but apart … More
The great news is that Ventnor benefits from it's own micro-climate and 2013 was an exceptionally warm summer. As a result we suffered from some build up of condensation in the basement where the cold water pipe enters the house. We have addressed this issue and further improvements are planned in time for 2014. We have had guests who have subsequently stayed at the house in October and there feedback is: "Thank you so much, stay was fantastic. Lovely house and a perfect location and your service from the moment we booked was outstanding. You really did help us out and make the stay better" Without any reference to a problem from a damp basement. We look forward to welcoming further guests to our lovely holiday house located in an outstanding position in the delightful town of Ventnor.

"Lovely stay in a brilliant house in a great location."
Large, bright house with plenty of space for our group to have a very relaxing weekend. On entry house found to be very clean & tidy, rooms nicely decorated & furnished. Good range of Bedroom options & excellent large reception rooms. Brilliant to get the entire family of 10 sat around the Dining table to eat & socialise. Fantastic views out to sea & along the coastline from the first floor Lounge & top floor Master Bedroom. Ideal location for shops & only 5 mins. walk to the beach. Ventnor is an idyllic Victorian town with plenty of eating places & walks along the coastline. A visit to the Spyglass Inn, down on the front, is a must.
