A truly amazing family holiday home, enjoying stunning views over the English Channel from nearly every room whilst backing onto Rew down (national Trust land) at the rear. Chalk Hills stands in large mature gardens with patios equipped with a barbeque for 'al fresco' dining. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped, ideal for family holidays. Ventnor's main shopping centre and Seafront are within about a fifteen minute walk. The centre of Ventnor offers interesting Victorian architecture, a main shopping street, parks and gardens and a heritage museum. Situated in the south of the Island, Ventnor enjoys a sunny mild climate due its sheltered location, nestling between the sea and St Boniface down.

Take a walk into town and on to The Esplanade with cafes, tapas bars and the locally renowned 'Spyglass Inn,' all fronting the crescent shaped sand and shingle beach. The seafront harbour, Ventnor Haven, is a New England style working port and marina with freshly caught sea food and children's Island shaped paddling pool.

A short walk from the property, you will find the beautiful and secluded Steephill Cove located on the 'round the Island' coastal path, between the famous Ventnor Botanical Gardens and Ventnor Bay. A popular stop for walkers with cafes and restaurant, Steephill Cove manages to remain a tranquil retreat that has changed little over the centuries.

Walk along the sea wall to Bonchurch, with quiet beach, the Bonchurch Inn, floodlit wildlife pond and the popular Pond Café.

Within a short drive are the resort towns of Shanklin and Sandown. Both have safe sandy beaches and varied entertainment with a wide choice of pubs, restaurants, Dinosaur Isle Museum, cafes and children's seaside attractions.
