Home description
Casa Flora is surrounded by olive trees above agricultural fields. Very green and lush. Only noise is mating croaking of frogs and the intensive singing of the cicadas and occasional crying out of donkeys grazing in the nearby fields.
Perfect for peaceful vacation but with plenty possibilities for mountain hikes, biking, swimming in river or the open see, plenty of cultural events in two countries, Italy and France.
Gastronomically very rich with typical Ligurian and international restaurants. Plenty of good wines in area.
On the terrace overlooking the valley you may enjoy meals and bask in the sun
The Bevera river offers swims in fresh mountain waters and lovely walks along its shores
The comfortable living room with its soft colours holds 6 people easily.

The North West Italy / Italian Riviera/Liguria region
In this soft corner of Liguria you find olives, wine, vegetables, lavender and fireflies in season. The village of Olivetta is small and calm, apart from the croaking of lovesick frogs and neighing of donkeys. The facing mountains increase the serenity of the area.
Olivetta was already inhabited in the early 12th century when some monks settled across the river. The remains of their church can still be seen. Next to Casa Flora there are ruins of an ancient little chapel.
Casa Flora is in TORRE area in the village of Olivetta S.M. Road SS20 Ventimiglia - Limone. 200 m after San Michele make sharp left turn to road SP73 (towards France). Olivetta S.M. is some 3 km from this crossing.
Ventimiglia / Olivetta San Michele area
Like most towns and villages in the area Olivetta offers music and dancing, with local foods, in the summer. Famous is the Fanghetto Music Festival. In June you can enjoy the Ventimiglia Battle of Flowers. The Menton Classical Music Festival in early August is famous as is the Nice Jazz Festival. Dolceaqua and Apricale villages host many good artists.
In Valloria the painted doors will charm you.The oil museum in Imperia is worth a visit.. Both in Italy and France there are Aqualands and museums featuring art, marine life and much more. Canyoning, whale watching, mountain hiking, bicycling etc found all around.
The Casino of Monte Carlo speaks for itself. The enormous Friday market in Ventimiglia attracts visitors from far away.
How to get there
Ryan Air, Easy Jet, Norwegian. Low cost fares with other airlines. Airport NICE.
Train through Milano, Genova, Nice etc getting off at Ventimiglia. Local train Ventimiglia - Limone, 20min trip.
Car: all major motorways linking north to south and east to west. Easy to find from motorway exit at Ventimiglia.
Bus from Ventimiglia.
Car hire, the usual ones at the Nice Airport. We recommend Trucchi in Antibes.
