The North East Italy / Veneto region

This area of Italy must be one of the most versatile in all the country. You are close to the sea, to the mountains to Lake Garda, and still have the benefit of one of the most fascinating cities in the whole world. Two of the most sought after beach resorts are right on your door step; Lido di Jesolo which is only second to Rimini for what it has to offer for the beach lover in the way of quality of bathing facilities and entertainment, hosting year round sporting and other events and then the highly exclusive Venice Lido, famed for its film festival and other sporting events such as equestrian and tennis tournaments. This is the place where Dirk Bogarde starred in the cinema classic 'Death in Venice' at the beautiful Hotel des Bains.
Temperatures range from mild in the Spring to hot in the summer. Winter can be unexpectedly cold, but usually offers beautiful bright days for comfortable walking and cultural visits.
Please remember to bring comfortable walking shoes whatever time of the year you decide to visit.

Venice / Giudecca area

Choose Giudecca and you will enjoy the quietest city break imaginable - your sleep will only ever be disturbed by a passing boat or wailing cat!
But at the same time you will be only a 3 minute boat ride from all the traffic-free bustle and activity you could ever ask for of a city of such vital cultural importance,

The list of events organized in Venice and Giudecca is endless, from the local to the global.
Every second year Giudecca hosts several of the Venice Biennale events, and has a couple of permanent exhibition spaces, plus boasting several churches of major historic importance. Hardly a week goes by in Venice when there isn't some international event in the fields of art, politics, music and sport, without mentioning the local festivals and events which are spread throughout the annual calendar.
Don't forget that this year is the turn of the International Contemporary Visual Arts' Exhibition, the Biennale.

How to get there

Fly to Venice, Marco Polo airport and then take either one of 2 bus lines to the city.

Best to avoid weekends for less expensive offers.

Fly to Treviso airport and take regular bus shuttle service to Venice.

You will then find local water transport which runs all day and night, or water taxis.
Venice has excellent train services to all corners of Europe.
There are European bus lines which travel regularly from Venice to the United Kingdom.

Or take a delightful journey in your car across Europe. Ask us for help and useful information for this option as we have done it many times and in all seasons. This is neither the cheapest nor quickest way to get here!

This property is not suitable for small children under the age of 12.

A 20% deposit must be paid at the time of booking. Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of this sum.

Full payment must be paid at least 4 weeks before the holiday period chosen.
For late bookings the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

A security deposit of Euros 300 must be paid when finalising payment for your holiday. This sum will be returned to you within 10 days of your departure once all appropriate inventory controls have been carried out in the apartment. Please inform us immediately if you find anything broken upon your arrival.

Don't forget that you will have the services of an English speaking local to deal with any enquiries and to ease you smoothly into the idiosyncracies of the apartment and Italian living!
