Veneto region is one of the most important economic district in Italy. The famous "Triveneto" where you find some of main factories for wintersports equipment, clothing industry, electrical household appliances, artistic handicraft, old inlaid furniture, glass factory as in Murano insland. Veneto offers numberless place of touristic interest for the many historical towns as Venice, Verona, Padova, Treviso, the Riviere del Brenta's villas and many little towns known for the vestiges of their ancient splendour. In few kilometres you can spend your sommer or winter holiday in many delightful places from the sea to the wonderful nature of the Dolomiti mountains.
Moreover, only in a short distance from the apartment, you can find some of the most typical and characteristic Venetian restaurants, very interesting for the various gastronomic proposals and for the different service and rates, such as: “DA FIORE”, one of the most exclusive restaurants in Italy, suitable to very high standard dinner; “ANTICHE CARAMPANE”, Venetian cuisine, high level, very quite in a charming corner, “VECIO FRITOLIN” an old and marvellous tavern in “Calle della Regina (Rialto)” meeting place for artists and, in a short way away close to them, “AL NONO RISORTO” for a dinner in the garden; in Campo St. Polo “BIRRARIA LA CORTE” pizza-restaurant and characteristic Venatian cuisine. While, for visitors of the Biennal Exhibition gardens, “AL DIPORTO” at St. Elena’s island offers typical dishes and is attended by Venetians.
Venice / Venice city centre area
VENICE “QUEEN OF THE ADRIATIC” Venice took many centuries to develop. The nucleus of the original settlement was in the area of today’s Rialto district. A network of canals was planned and the earth the builders dug up, was used to strengthen the islands of the lagoon. The Grand Canal and the innumerable “rii” (lesser canals) of Venice, which by means of 400 bridges, link over 118 islets to each other today came into being over the centuries: tree-trunks were tightly bound together and used to consolidate the muddy little islands, creating the foundations of the houses and palaces. When Venice first appears, it looks like a dream-city, a gleaming splendid vision rising from the waters of the lagoon. Its delicate beauty changes with the seasons and unfold countless treasures: historical places, natural beauties, art, the traditional hospitality and kindness of the people all make it a truly unique place. The famous Grand Canal or "Canalazzo", as it is called by the Venetians, with its marvellous succession of beautiful "palazzi" and picturesque housese is the main thoroughfare. Venice is dividede into six “sestrieri”: San Marco, Castello, Cannaregio, Santa Croce, San Polo and Dorsoduro. Many are the places and the events of interest that you can find in Venice, monuments and historic buildings, museums, churches, bridges, squares and “calli”, canals, islands around the lagoon and then feast days, exhibitions, festivals, theater’s play, cocerts as: Teatro La Fenice, Palazzo Grassi, P. Guggenheim Museum, Correr Museum etc.
In Campo San Polo there is the “Querini Dubois Palace” an excellent example of Venetian Renaissance architecture, today used as a cultural Centre also for the Film festival organization, and during that event in September, St. Polo’s square becomes a moving picture theatre every evening.
The apartment is really only a few minutes walk from the public water bus (called “vaporetto” line 1 SAN STAE), and it is situated near Rialto, the oldest area of Venice historic centre in a centuries old building, on the first floor.
In the home you can find several books about the Venetian beauty.

10/28/07 Positive Loved our stay at Enrico's. we are 2 70+ visitors and the following information may be useful to other older tourists. San Stae vaporetto stop is on the number 1 route which is the most useful for tourists BUT it is also on the night bus route so if you are enjoying yourself in Venice you need never worry about getting home easily. The area has lots of food shops, but the nearest one (2 minutes for me) provided everything that we needed, and was excellent. Previously in Venice we have stayed in hotels and lodging houses, but after this visit we feel an apartment is ideal - just shopping improves our Italian - and as for Italian television!! The apartment was just fine, everything worked, it was spacious, comfortable with intriguing original art work on the walls. Enrico and his wife met us and carried our bags , explained the routines and left us with contact numbers in case of difficulties. I would not hesitate to recommend his apartment and the location. joyand david cheshire, chichester england
10/19/07 Positive My friend and I (we are two middle-aged women)booked online. As soon as I was put into contact with Enrico, his warm and friendly emails made me comfortable at booking the apartment. We met Enrico and his lovely and hospitable wife, who showed us everything, and gave us many tips on where to find food and restaurants and sites. The apartment is near Campo San Polo, which is nice to go to in the evening, where children, pet dogs and Venetians hang out. There are good restaurants there; we had a good meal at Birraria. The apartment is on a narrow alley leading to a narrow canal, which made it charmingly atmospheric, but also dark. The apartment was clean and quite spacious. The bedroom has a king sized bed and lots of storage space, and the pull-out couch easy to use. The kitchen and bathroom are well equipped, and the pantry filled with staples. The apartment is close to everything; we walked everywhere; and it is close to a vaporetto stop for grand canal touring. It is a short walk to the Rialto fish and green markets, fabulous. 07/30/07 Positive We booked online, and were given detailed and easy instructions by Enrico, the owner of the property. On arrival we were met at the San Stae vaporetto stop by Enrico and his daughter. They were very kind and helped us with our luggage all the way to the apartment which is a short walk away. The apartment itself is clean and well equipped nestled in a small alley of the San Polo district. It was perfect for us traveling with 2 small children and a baby. The bedroom bed was comfortable, and the pull out sofa for the kids in the outside room was easy to use. The kitchenette was well-equipped and the bathroom was clean with a nice large shower. Enrico left us with suggestions for restaurants nearabouts. We found the area very nice. A place for local Venetians, and away from the mad hustle and bustle of San Marco. It was a treat to walk back to 'our' area every night and hunt out a local resto. The kids had a good time getting a nice walk every day.
Thank you Enrico, for all your help and we hope to see you again in Venice!! Emaad and Muna S., Montreal, Canada
07/02/07 Positive Your suite was ideal. It was fully equipped with everything we needed for our visit. We found it very clean, comfortable and convenient as it is centrally located. It was very nice to meet your wife & have her as our escort to the apartment. We loved our stay in Venice! Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely refer you to others visiting Venice. *Only thing we would of love to have in the apt, would have been a fan.
