Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Located at the first floor of an historic Venetian Renaissance little palace, with a nice view over a pictoresque Venetian canal, in one of the most beautiful parts of the Dorsoduro district, Arcobaleno (Rainbow) is a fresh and charming Venetian apartment. In June 2013 it has been renovated and completely reappointed by the owners, who lived here till 2012. Rooms are nicely and delicately painted with the colors of the rainbow.
The flat is facing a small canal which you can view from all the flat windows. Placed in a true Venetian neighborhood, not in the middle of the tourist area, you will be able to experience the local coffee shops, bars and restarant of Campo Santa Margherita and several wonderful restaurants all within 100 meters. Minimarkets, freshly baked bread and pastries shops, daily fish and groceries, including the last-in-Venice picturesque grocer-on-a-boat, are all at a short and pleasant walk away.
Many attractions, including the Accademia Gallery of Venetian painters and the Guggenheim Collection (former Peggy Guggenheim home in Venice) can be also reached by a short walk. St. Mark's square is just a 20 minute walk, crossing the Accademia wooden bridge, probably the most panoramic in Venice. And if you do not feel like to walk, the flat is very close to the "vaporetto/ferry" (Ca Rezzonico stop is just one little bridge away) with which you can easily move in the city.
Beautifully furnished with high class fittings and fully appointed with modern life commodities (heating/air conditioning, TV, free WiFi access, DVD and CD players) the flat is composed (map is provided with photographs) of two bedrooms (a double and twin) with access to a mosaic decorated bathroom (with shower), a second large bathroom (with bath tub and washing/dryer machine - close to the living room), an entrance, a living room and the kitchen. A storage for shoes and luggage is available outside at the same floor.
The bedrooms are cozy and warm with an original Renaissance, fully restored wooden ceiling and a new parquet floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and electric ovens, dishwasher, fridge, cooking plates, toster, cattle and coffee machine and serves an elegant dining area. The living room is comfortable and sunny. A sofa bed can accommodate an extra 2 people.

The North East Italy region
Not only Venice. The Veneto Region is a land of fantastic opportunities for visitors. Roman and medieval historical cities (Verona, Padua, Treviso ...), beaches, waterparks and nightlife (Venezia-Lido, Jesolo, Bibione ..), hiking, climbing and ski resorts (in the Dolomites, included from 2009 among the UNESCO Human Heritage Sites, there are 1200km of slopes), lake and water sports (fantastic windsurfing in the Garda Lake), quality wine production (hill towns of Conegliano, Asolo, Valdobbiadene, Soave, Bardolino and many more ...). All attractions within 2 hour train from Venice!
Maybe not everybody agrees that Venice is the most beatiful city in the world, however no one will ever deny that Venice is unique. No other city in the world can be compared or can really look like Venice, grown on few scattered sandy islands in the middle of a lagoon.
The city is a pure human invention, the result of centuries of artesan wisdom that created a masterpiece in an absolutely bizarre location. Loose yourself in the narrow alleys and discover the unique traditions, history and monuments of the "Serenissima", once a powerful State of the Mediterranean, now an "old elegant lady" not ashamed to show the wrinkles of a thousand-year life.
