Elegant and fully restored Apartment at the first floor of a nice building facing a typical Venetian canal, located in the so called Castello district, at the end of Via Garibaldi, one of the most characteristic and vivid street of the city, with a lot of typical restaurants, cafès and supermarkets. The flat is located very close to the famous Biennale Exhibitions of Modern Art and the Arsenale of Venice, only 10 minutes walking distance from St. Mark’s Square and close to vaporetto ( boat ) stops.
The deluxe apartment is a perfect solution for a family, two or three couples or a small group of friends who want to visit Venice starting from an interesting area as Castello.. Moreover this kind of accommodation allows you to stay together without renouncing to the privacy of each one.
Ca’ delle Ancore, furnished in XVIII century Venetian style, consists of a nice living room with a small balcony and windows facing a typical canal , three elegant double rooms (2 double rooms and 1 room with possibility of twin beds) , 2 nice bathrooms with 2 showers and a fully equipped kitchen with table.....
Very close to vaporetto stops the flat allows you to take pubblic boats and go everywhere.
No bridge to reach the Apartment.

Verona

The Venice, Veneto / Central Venice area
Venezia ( Veni etiam means come back again) is a magic city, that past times attracted and attract nowadays people of all the world for its originality that we can notice in the nature of its location ( the lagoon) and its characteristic shape that make this city unique in the world. In fact Venice is composed by hundred of islands connected by about 400 bridges and this territory is divided in 6 district (areas) called sestieri as the so called Sestiere di Castello, di Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, San Marco, San Polo e Santa Croce.
Venice lives on the sea, on the lagoon that has its influence on the life of the citizens. In Venice people can walk everywhere ( you don't need your own boat ) crossing the bridges and getting lost in the labyrinth of many narrow streets ( calli)

Venice is a magic city not only to visit some day , but to discover in all his parts : streets, canals, monuments, buildings ,people, traditions.and foods .You can undersand Venice only living in it and experience the real Venetian life.
The Castello district is one of the most densely populated area in Venice , it is a little away from touristic route like San Marco or Rialto, and the main road Via Garibaldi , where Ca' delle Ancore Apartment is located, is not a touristic area. The Via Garibaldi is a little picturesque suburb, village (in the city) with all kinds of shops and people know each other and can communicate to each other, it still survives a relationship between persons.... Our guests like this area for this reason as you cannot find this relationship between people in other big cities and even in other part more touristic of Venice.
In Venice Festivals and celebrations have been part of Venetian life since the earlier days of the Republic to bolster the power and prestige of the Repubblic of Venice as the famous Regata Storica that takes place nowadays every year in September ( first Sunday in September ) to recall glorious past times. It is the biggest of the water festivals that beginning with a superbly costumed procession of ornate and historic boas down the Grand Canal is followed by 4 races: young rowers, women races, canoe like boats caorline races and gondolini races.
The Redentore festival celebrates the deliverance of the city from the plague of 1575 ( Tiziano painter died during it) , when the church of Redentre was built on Giudecca island.There is a pilgrimage to this church and a nighty party in the lagoon waiting fireworks ( Third weekend of July).
The Carnival is another important event in Venice. People of every part of the world come in Venice to experience the ancient tradition of using masks, beautiful costumes and funs of past times when it was the last chance for fun and gams before the long and penitential weeks leading up to Easter. .
In September the International Film Festival takes place on the Lido ( near Venice . It is famous for his beautiful beaches too ) It is the highlight of the year with stars and directors bringing glamour to the city..
The International Biennale Exhibition of Modern Art takes place from June to November in Castello district inside the Giardini Biennale and inside the Shipyards ( Arsenale Corderie).

My suggestion to make Apartment. Ca’ delle Ancore easier to find.
The apartment is located at the end of Via Garibaldi, close to Biennale Exhibition.
From APT Marco Polo you can take a watertaxi to Venice and stop at Arsenale ( it takes about 30 minutes, we can book a watertaxi), or from the airport the bus number 5 to Piazzale Roma and then vaporetto ( public boat) number 61 or 51 and get off at Giardini –Biennale ( about 1 hour 15 minutes). Another possibility is to take the big shuttle boat ALILAGUNA BLU LINE to Venice and get off at ARSENALE ( www.alilaguna.it )
It takes about 1 hour. One ticket costs about 15, 00 euro.
From Venice Station S. Lucia you can take the public boat (vaporetto) number 51 and get off at Giardini- Biennale stop ( about 40 minutes).
From Venice Piazzale Roma you can take vaporetto number 51 or 61 and get off at Giardini Biennale stop
( about 30 minutes).
From APT Treviso you take the shuttle bus to Venezia (you will arrive at Piazzale Roma bus terminal). Then from here you look for vaporetto ( pubblic boats) departure and take number 51 or 61 and stop at Giardini Biennale. Crossed the Viale Garibaldi you find Via Garibaldi. At you right close to the canal you can find the Apartment located in Campiello delle Ancore n. 1127.

The advance email instructions on how to find the reception were also very helpful.
Then, Sabrina and Fabio (The owners) walked us the short distance to Ca'delle Ancore Apartment, even providing umbrellas, as it was raining!...
Everything (absolutely everything) had been thought of in the kitchen and there were lots of spare towels. The apartment was light and modern, though still in the traditional Venetian decor.
The canal view was fantastic.
Proximity to local shops, supermarkets and restaurants, bars and gardens,...
Ca'delle Ancore apartment was fantastic. It was a perfect base, easily accessible to everything (transport, food shops, local restaurants, bars, gardens, the Arsenale.

A short walk to St. Marks Square and very safe and pleasant area full of local action. We loved being able to buy things from the market and have a light dinner in our room rather than spending the money on a restaurant. The kitchen was fully equipped and the owners were so friendly and welcoming.

I have family in Italy and staying at the Ca'Alexander made me feel like I was staying with family in Venice. The place was beautiful, the view was incredible, and the location was away from the crazy tourist centre. Fabio and Sabrina were very helpful and we had a couple meetings on the street where we stopped to talk and discuss the day, or train schedule, or just to say hi. One night in the apartment we cooked our own dinner in the well equipped kitchen and watched boats go by in the canal, and people walking home over the bridge. It was an incredible experience.

We were very positively impressed with Ca'Alexander. We stayed in their apartment, Ca' Delle Ancore ,which is up the road. Conceptually, the only thing that is important to point out is that (at least if you stay in the apt) this is NOT a B&B but a self catering apartment. That said, it is top class, newly renovated, spotless, and all kitchen utensils/equipment top quality. The bedroom is spacious, linen high quality, and high standard. The family that runs it is very nice and helpful, and provides the essentials on day of arrical (milk, coffee, sugar, etc). The area (close to Arsenale and Biennale) is great, the street is nice with good restaurants, and 15 minute walk from St. Marks. The Apt itself is completely quiet, with AIR CONDITION, but we just kept the windows open. We know where we'll book when we're back!

Me and partner visited Venice for a short romantic break. We were extremely pleased with Ca'Alexander and the friendliness of the staff. Ca'Alexander is located in a quiet part of Venice, Castello, which is a short "vaporetto" stop from main attractions such as St Marks Square and Rialto bridge. I would recommend this to couples who would like a quiet, romantic break in Venice. Excellent owners - could not do enough to welcome us to Venice.
