Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 6

The Strada Nova, which runs through the Cannaregio quarter, is a pleasant street to stroll along and discover all kinds of characteristic stores. Just a few steps away is the Fondamenta della Sensa with many typical local restaurants and taverns situated along the canal. The North East Italy region
It's safe to say there's nowhere quite like Venice. Spread over 118 small islands, intersected by canals, connected by bridges and home to some of the world's finest architecture and artworks, it crams an embarrassment of riches into its five square kilometres. Little wonder the entire city is listed as a World Heritage Site.
So, where to start? St Mark's Basilica for many is the jewel in Venice's crown, with its opulent design, gilded mosaics and iconic Byzantine architecture, it never fails to be anything less than breathtaking. Of course, no trip is complete without a coffee in the grandiose Piazza San Marco whilst listening to the duelling orchestras or a romantic gondola trip along the Grand Canal.
Getting off the beaten track and exploring for yourself can be just as rewarding, for not all of this unique city's treasures are on obvious display.
