'Nati's House'; flat in Venice
About the home
We rent our flat in Venice for short weekly stays all year round. The flat is perfect for two and suitable for a family with one or two children. “Nati’s House” (Nati is our daughter!) offers the comfort and the charm that could emphasise the value of your stay in this spectacular city of the world. Very well lighted, it faces with a balcony a marvellous typical Venetian canal, in a part of Venice, which still belongs to Venetians. We think this is a great value for the wise tourist. The flat is completely furnished, some pieces of furniture are antique and it is located at the first floor: safe when the sea floods the streets and far from humidity of the ground floors. “Nati’s House” is waiting you. For more photos and further details about us, the flat and the simple automatic way to book your stay please visit our private WEB SITE, linked below.

Further details
We are Paolo, Giulia and Natalia, Nati for friends (15 years old).
We are a (quite rare nowadays) happy family who lives in Bologna. We decided to have this flat in Venice because we love this city. We had been living there for six years when we were students at the University School of Architecture. Now we are both architects professing in Bologna, but our hearts are still in Venice. The city is not so far from Bologna so, during the periods we do not rent the flat, it is possible for us to enjoy short stays in the most spectacular city of the world.
For the contractual terms and condition, please see the "How-renting-works" section of our website (linked below in this advertisement).
Please visit also Paolo's Facebook Page (Paolo Devescovi) and our blog "Archirent New".
Our flats are in Venice, Florence, Bologna, Marche and Apulia. All units are currently advertised through this site and through our private web site. We are proud to offer a positive view of tourist rental. Renting flats is not our main profession (we are both architects and Paolo is also an art teacher) but a way to allow us to fund the expenses of our very particular rental units and to maintain an opened window on the world through this pleasant business. It is a way to get to know other people and cultures. Everywhere we travelled we found kindness and enthusiasm. We would like to offer you exactly what we expect from other people. We can't be everywhere to meet you but internet has definitely given to the world more chances to be closer to all people.
The North East Italy / Veneto region

Venice is perhaps the worldwide most romantic tourist destination. Venice needs no words to be described. Everyone knows how is wonderful wandering the city's canals on a gondola, enjoy a coffee in one of the many "campi", at any time of the year. From crisp clear winter days to mild spring, autumn and a hot summer, the culture is there to be enjoyed.
We have a piece of our heart in Venice. We suppose every sensible visitor does the same. We are happy to give him a valid contribution to share this sensation.
The Venice, Veneto / Cannaregio area
Our house rises in a urban distric once owned to the nuns of San Girolamo and the friars of San Secondo. All the area since 17th century was called Chiovere di San Girolamo. A "Chiovera" is a sort of small area closed by fences where hung out cloth to dry. In ancient times the art of silk grew in all the area with many dyers (Chiovere from the latin "clauderiae"). From this fact the names of some places: Fondamenta de i Ormesini, from Hormuz, an asian city destroyed in 14th century where Venetians learned the refined art of silk for their marvellous clothes used from 16th to 18th centuries.

Nati's house is located in the Cannaregio District, where the popular culture of Venice is still alive and where restaurants and “osterias” are still for Venetians (and for the few lucky tourists who go off the beaten track for a minute or two). 11-13 from the railway station and 10 from Rialto, maybe less with the “gondola” shuttle. If you plan to arrive to the San Marco Airport, just take the Alilaguna boat shuttle Airport-Venice, stop at Guglie water bus stop in Venice and then you have to walk four minutes and just one bridge to cross! The urban "vaporetto" (water bus) station is at only at four minutes. Shops, the stalls of the daily market and even a usual supermarket are nearby.

Nati's was perfect for us. One of its greatest advantages was the location. It's very close to the station and easy to find, thanks to Paolo's clear maps showing the way to walk. (An easy 10 min. walk) The Canneregio neighborhood is quiet, being off the beaten tourist track. At the same time it's a convenient start-point for visiting all major destinations in Venice. Nati's website is impressive— it's very organized and comprehensive with attention given to a myriad of important details. Paolo's clear communication and ready availability (by phone & email) in case of problems (we had none) was reassuring. The apartment itself was very nice. We always had a nice breeze in the evening and had a great view of the gorgeous sunset from the balcony. The kitchen is compact and easy to use, fitted out with all you need for cooking and serving all meals, Venice style. There are so many small shops and markets nearby, including local wine, you might want to take all your evening meals at Nati's. There are also many excellent restaurants for lovely meals steps away from the apartment, canal-side. You will want to stay at least a couple of weeks at Nati's House. Living accommodations more than adequate for 2-4 people. |

Review: 2010
Dreaming of spending two months in Venice, I scoured the internet for likely apartments and came across Nati's House... What a friendly and informative websight, where every possible question or concern has been addressed! And making arrangements with Paolo was pure pleasure, he is a genuinely sweet and lovely man, he made the whole process fun and easy (and was kind enough to give us a good price for staying so long, making my Venice dream come true).
We arrived in Venice and everything was as Paolo had described, we easily found our way to the apartment and were delighted with the small but modern kitchen, luxuriously tiled bathroom and roomy lounge/bedroom tastefully decorated. And the view out the windows and from the balcony was everything we had hoped for.
We loved the sound of the boats coming up the canal, like rain in the distance. And the moon rising over the rooftops across the canal. The apartment was a peaceful, quiet haven to return to after our escapades in the city, and located in a very Venetian area, away from the crowds.
We also enjoyed a special day in Bologna with Paolo and his wife Giulia (and met Paolo's mother). We were treated to a wonderful lunch at their home and a tour around the churches of Bologna. This was a highlight of our trip! We really can't thank Paolo and Giulia enough for sharing their Venice pad with us, and for looking after us like family :)
