About the home

TIFFANY CANAL VIEW APARTMENT is a wonderful unique style with glamorous choice of furnishings.
On the first floor of a historic Venetian building consisting of a living room with fully equipped kitchen, sofa bed and an enchanting view on a typical Venetian canal. Two bedrooms, one with a small balcony directly overlooking the Canal and a private bathroom with shower. The second bathroom is equipped with shower and hairdryer.
Numerous amenities in the apartment as well as air conditioning and Wi-Fi service included in the price of your stay, a particular attention we have for our little guests: Cot and high-chair available, as well as a baby sitter upon request.
TIFFANY -CANAL VIEW Apartment is located in the heart of the historic center of Venice, in the sestiere of art and culture of Dorsoduro (here are the Accademia di Belle Arti and the university of Ca ' Foscari), the most exclusive district of the city (here the "vip" artists from around the world have brought homes, in addition to the most illustrious Venetian).

Apartments can be reached within a few minutes’ walk to the Basilica dei Frari, the School of San Rocco, l'accademia di Belle Arti and the Rialto Bridge.
In just 15 minutes on foot you can reach Piazza San Marco also with comfortable gondola rides which are located a few meters from the apartment where you will cross the Grand Canal for only 50 cents per way.
10 minute walk to the beautiful Campo Santa Margherita, with its typical convenience store, market, bars and restaurants.
The vaporetto stop of in S. Tomà (in the middle of the Grand Canal) is only a minute walk from the Residence Glam apartment.

On receipt of confirmation, the guest must pay a deposit of 25% of the total cost by using one of the following methods: PayPal or bank transfer.

Upon arrival, the balance of payment must be paid in cash directly to the owner or the agent who accompanies the guest to their accommodations.
The arrival/departure times are as follows: arrival between 15:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs; departure between 09:00 hrs and 10:30 hrs.
The reception services, such as final cleaning , are included in the total amount stated on the voucher at the time of the booking and are valid until 20.00. After 20.00 and till 23.30, the supplement fee is €20,00, after 23.30 the night fee is €40,00
SECURITY DEPOSIT:
- At the moment of your arrival, after having visited your apartment, we will ask you your valid credit card from which we will block an amount of € 250.00 as a warranty until the date of the check-out.
TOURIST TAX
From August 24th 2011 also Venice will enforce a new tourist tax for visitors:
The tax goes to a maximum of 2,00€ to a minimum of 1,00€ per person for day until 5 day of stay( (kids not pay and teenagers from 10 to 16 ages pay half).

The North East Italy / Veneto region

Veneto is the region that has traditionally, and almost for 1000 years, been the dominion of the "Serenissima Republica di Venezia". This means that the coasts were the ports and the hinterland the source and the first miles of travel for all the goods that Venice traded with the East and far East regions.

Veneto now is famous for its food industry, manufacturing of fashion items and clothes and for being the home of Prosecco. In Veneto, in fact the there are the headquarters of Diadora trainers, Dolomite, Tecnica and Rollerblades, Benetton, Diesel and Marzotto to mention few of the most famous brands.

In Veneto you can ski in Cadore (Cortina d'Ampezzo), there are some of the most prestigious Golf Clubs, such as Lido di Venezia and it is the easy gateway to reach the former Yugoslavian regions through ferries and speed liners that leave Venice tourist port every day.

The Venice, Veneto / Dorsoduro area

Dorsoduro is probably the most relaxing district in the city centre, outside the touristic crowd, very calm, quiet and safe but close to a lot of landmarks and most important cultural and turistic sites like Gallerie dell'Accademia, Ca' Rezzonico, Palazzo Grassi, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Tadao Ando Museum, Vedova Museum, Salute church and not so far from San Marco area.

The gorgeous view from Zattere is just 20 meters outside the door...

A lot of shops and supermarkets are also very close to the apartment.

In Campo Santa Margherita you will find a number of amusing bar, restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias to enjoy Venice nightlife.

200 meters on the left of the Accademia bridge, you will find "Cantinone Storico", where seafood is very good but please try to reserve, in the good season, one table outside for dinner...a magic place!

Just behind Gallerie dell'Accademia at the ground floor of Ca' Pisani Hotel, "La Rivista" is a wine and cheese bar with a large and fine selection of...wines and cheeses!

And almost in front of it, "Agli Alboretti" a very good restaurant famous for its wine cellar.



Just around the corner, in front of "Squero di San Trovaso"... you will find Enoteca da Schiavi: one of the best places in Venice (and not only) where having an aperitif becomes an unforgettable experience: a beautiful "fondamenta", a traditional "bacaro", an good choice of italian wines, and a selection of "cicheti", the venetian term for "appetizers", which starting from the venetian tradition, get off and fly towards very sophisticated taste goals.

Five meters after Schiavi...simply the best pistacchio ice cream I've ever tasted.

A few steps beyond, la "Terazza del Casin dei Nobili", good seafood and amazing view from the Zattere, and "Gelati da Nico": ask for a "Giandujotto da Passeggio"...

Going on towards "Punta della Dogana" there is "Linea d'Ombra" restaurant, another magic place facing Canale della Giudecca on a wooden terrace.

On the other side of the Giudecca Canal: the Hilton in the Molino Stucky, with its "Rooftop skyline bar", one of the most incredible views on Venice, its spa and its well regarded restaurants.

To reach our Glam Residence Apartments from the Railway station or from the car park in Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto Island in you can use the local means of transport (called steamers) of ACTV No. 1 or 2 getting off at St. Tomà Stop that is about three minutes far from the apartments.
The Glam HOTEL is reachable from the Railway station and from Piazzale Roma by a 10/15 minutes walk too.
From the Venice airport take the bus for Venice Piazzale Rome and you can use the vaporetto number 1 or 2 getting off at St. Tomà, stop that is about three minutes far from the apartments.

“Paid deposit - Contact never showed up - never saw apartment” Basically, I booked this apartment and was excited about the location. Per my last e-mail communication with the property manager and the contact person, we were to meet at the San Toma vaporetto stop at 3:00 PM. From there she would take us to the apartment. I understand this after being there because addresses in Venice are a little confusing. I got there at 2:30 and waited until 4:00. No one showed up. We went to a local cafe which had wi-fi and tried to e-mail both the property manager and the contact. We waited another 2 hours but received no reply. At this point I needed to make a decision. There were 4 of us and we had all of our luggage and were basically stranded. Luckily we found a hotel nearby which had some rooms available. I did get a call from our contact in Venice around 8:00 PM. I had already checked into the hotel. When I returned home, I contacted the Property Manager twice to try to get some kind of explanation and to get a refund on my deposit. I do not see what I did wrong. To date I have not had the courtesy of a reply. TripAdvisor - Please call me to verify this.
