About the home

The real beauty about this apartment is the location. Near enough to all the local attractions, Doge's palace, Santa Marie Della Salute, the Grand Canal and all the shops yet located in the heart of the venetian community in Castello. This way you get to discover the real Venice, situated amongst the welcoming locals.
Eat in the local trattoria's ( we are happy to recommend our favourites!) and induldge in the authentic italian way of life...that may be a morning espresso or cappucino, an evening aperitif in one of the local bars or a sumptious venetian supper where the local singer sometimes puts on an impromptu show!
Or sit back and relax in your tasteful apartment which has been decorated in authentic venetian style.The apartment will no doubt enhance your visit to Venice providing a real home from home experience for every guest!

The apartment is based in Castello with a pedestianed area outside the apartment and a few local cafes and restaurants peppered along the road. A few local mini markets selling fresh local produce can be found close by for those who wish to rustle up something tasty in the kitchen!
Castello is the heart of the Italian community. Here you will see the real venice yet are positioned 3 minutes from the waterstop. The warm and welcoming venetian are a joy and are sure to enhance your venetian experience!

The X-factor with this apartment is its small roof terrace, which has fantastic views across the rooftops to St mark's Square, only ten minutes' walk away. The whole apartment, which is part of a building dating back to 1450, has a wonderfully historical feel with a beamed living/dining room and a galleried staircase to the upstairs twin bedroom. Located in the unspoilt district of Castello, the apartment has an excellent choice of shops and restaurants near by.

Well what can you say about Venice that has not already been written? Whether your romantic, enjoy history, like to relax, like to mingle with the hustle and bustle of modern life, shop till you deop, enjoy good food and company , laying on a beach or just marvel and worldwide renowned scenry Venice ticks every box.
Venice is situated on the north eastern area of Italy made up of a series of islands . Accessible by car, train or boat Venice never ceases to dissapoint!
From St Marks's sqaure to the rialto bridge, Doge's palace to the church of Santa Maria Della Grazie Venice is awash with history. Take the journey of the lifetime on one of Venice's famous gondola's!
The lido is just a short vaporetta ride away.

Our favourite days out include a day spent in Doge's palace, a glorious living musuem of Venice including the old state offices, paintings galore. You can even visit the prison of bygone days here! Keep a day aside to view this spectacle. Close by is St Marks square, the quintessential italian piazza complete with hair tingling orchestras (in summer)and nerve tingling prices! Look out for the pidgeons! Enjoy a bellini in he famous Harry's bar, just off the square, a wonderful setting with even more spectacular prices! For something less wallet busting take a meandering stoll over the pretty canal bridges away from the main tourist throng and dine atone of the many venetian trattorias (as a general rule avoid anything with "menu turistica" or spaghetti bolognese and you'll be fine!)
The church of Santa maria della grazie, designed as a thankyou at end of the plague, is one of Venice's focal points as is the famous rialto brige now filled with tourist shops but worth a view for the photographic opportunities the bridge offers and to see the sheer weight of tourists assemble here. Away from the bridge designer shops par excellence abound to appease the most ardent shopaholic!
Venice is a must see place that should be on everyones must see list and delivers in every department!
But be warned one visit to Venice is never enough.

"A beautiful apartment, i especially enjoyed the roof top terrace and views over Venice after the hustle and bustle of the tourist spots! I would advise anyone to stay here over a hotel, it's far more personal and the area is much quieter living here with the locals. The location is superb.I would definitely recommend staying here if i return to Venice again, which i hope too soon!"Jill Richards
