Home description
Ca'Amadi overlooks a very quiet and private Corte (with its 15th century well), yet is only minutes from the bustling Rialto Bridge and the Market. St Mark’s square (San Marco) is about 10 easy minutes away on foot.
The apartment sleeps 2 -4 adults comfortably (or 4+2), and is available throughout the year for a minimum of 3 nights. It is an ideal base for weekend or short breaks.
Although popular throughout the year, we particularly recommend visits in the quieter months of February, March and November.
“In the winter, Venice is like an abandoned theatre. The play is finished, but the echoes remain”.

The North East Italy / Veneto region
Apart from the odvious and well known charms and attractions of Venice itself, this is an ideal base from which to explore the delights of the Veneto region.
The Palladian villas along the Brenta canal, the cities of Padua, Vincenza and Verona, the Euganean Hills and the Dolomites (with their skiing facilities) are all in easy reach.
Venice, Veneto / Central Venice area
Venice – La Serenissima - the most magical city on earth………….
We have made frequent visits to Venice for over 20 years and have produced for our guests a personal guide to the city, listing our favourite places to visit, eat and shop.
From the busy Campo San Bartolomeo, a street leads north towards the Church of San Giovanni Crisostomo, off which is the square of the Teatro Malibran, one of the city’s major venue for classical concerts. The Corte Ca’Amadi lies just to one side. Nearby is the house where Marco Polo lived.
Being on the edges of the sestieri of Cannaregio, Castello and San Marco, it is extremely convenient for the city’s main attractions, all of which are in easy walking distance. Equally, the quieter residential areas, with shops, bars and restaurants can easily be found close by and ‘off the beaten path’.
Vaporetti for the outlying Islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello leave from the Fondamente Nuove, again a short walk away.
Close by, across the Rialto Bridge are the spectacular daily fish and vegetable markets and the residential sestieri of Dorsoduro and San Polo.
“Streets flooded. Please advise”. Robert Benchley, journalist (telegram from Venice to his editor)
