Ca'Amadi
About the home
Ca'Amadi overlooks a very quiet and private Corte (with its 15th century well), yet is only minutes from the bustling Rialto Bridge and the Market. St Mark’s square is about 10 easy minutes away on foot.
The apartment sleeps 2 -4 adults comfortably and is available throughout the year for a minimum of 3 nights. It is an ideal base for weekend or short breaks.
Although popular throughout the year, we particularly recommend visits in the quieter months of February, March and November.

Further details outdoors:
Ca'Amadi lies on the edge of the sestiere (district) of Cannaregio, a local residential area and a true ‘Venetian’s Venice’, with a wealth of food and artisan shops, bars and restaurants.
From the busy Campo San Bartolomeo, a street leads north towards the Church of San Giovanni Crisostomo, off which is the square of the Teatro Malibran, one of the city’s major venue for classical concerts. The Corte Ca’Amadi lies just to one side. Nearby is the house where Marco Polo lived.
On the edges of the sestieri of Cannaregio, Castello and San Marco, it is extremely convenient for the city’s main attractions, all of which are in easy walking distance. Equally, the quieter residential areas, with shops, bars and restaurants can easily be found close by and ‘off the beaten path’.
Vaporetti for the outlying Islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello leave from the Fondamente Nuove, again a short walk away.
Close by, across the Rialto Bridge are the spectacular daily fish and vegetable markets and the residential sestieri of Dorsoduro and San Polo.

Spent 4 days at this great apartment for my wife's birthday and can't fault anything. The meet and greet service is invaluable, there is no way we would have found the place at 10pm at night and they explained where everything was and pointed out the useful local infomation in the apartment. The place itself has everything you need, very comfortable and is located centrally by Rialto Bridge. Highlt recommended for a couple or family (we travelled without the kids!) Thank you - we'd love to return one day. |

We couldn't have been more pleased or impressed by this apartment. The location is superb, it was more spacious than we had imagined from the description, and the standard of contents is excellent. The meet and greet service worked really well, the greeter was most helpful and charming. The wide range of books on Venice is excellent and a lot of useful information is provided. Everything was immaculately clean and we found it so much better than a hotel because of the convenient location and the experience of living in a real Venetian courtyard building. We can't wait to go again. |

The owners force you to pay 35 euro to use a greeting service. We had to wait 30 minutes for the greeters in 90 degree heat. When they finally came they walked us five minutes watched as we hauled our luggage up three steep flights of stairs, they didn't know how to work the air conditioner, didn't know if there was internet -- 35 euro please. Total rip off. We figured out how to work the air conditioner ourselves but it broke on the second night so for two of the three nights we were there we had no air conditioning. We called the greeter/manager who said "we're sending someone right now. Don't worry, don't worry." When we left two days later still no air. The upstairs bedroom had tiny black bugs. The owner said they were probably mosquitos and we should have used some mosquito machine they mention in the info book, which the greeter never showed us. I think we are smart enough to know the difference between mosquitos and tiny black crawling bugs in the bed. The owner said they've almost had no complaints before and they would give us a discount if we returned -- which will never happen. Also there was no internet. The owners said it had broken a while ago and they were having trouble getting it fixed. No doubt. |
Guestbook for Ca'Amadi
The aprtment itself was excellent in every way..from the absolutely central location to the thoughtful, very good quality decor/fixtures and fittings in every room to the selection of books (which were a great help).
We will definitely visit Venice again and can think of no reason why we would go anywhere other than Ca' Amadi. RG Bangkok.
