About the home

One bedroom apartment with terrazzo floors and lovely view (Hilton Hotel garden, Lido island and lagoon) . This apartment has a large red marble bathroom with bathtub with shower, toilet and bidet; it even has a washing machine for your clothes, has sleeper couche in the living room. The apartment is situated high on the fifth floor and there is the elevator. When renting a private home in Venice, always be careful to ask if there is an elevator. The great majority of Venetian buildings have no elevator as a result, bringing a family with luggage up several flights of stairs can present quite a problem. This has been solved in our building by the installation of a fully automatic elevator for your convenience.
The apartment has central air conditioning and heat that you may directly control through a thermostat in the living room.
Cooking is a nice way to save money when traveling with a large family, and we try to make it as easy as possible. Our kitchenette is fully equipped, including all pots, pans, glasses and dishes that you could possibly need. All this and a dishwasher to clean up with after your meals. We have also provided color TV and stereo with CD player, as well as irons and ironing boards.

The apartment is in the famous antique Molino Stucky on Giudecca, an 18th century flour mill that has just been rebuilt as Venice's premier residence. The apartment is newly built and furnished. As a result, it has all the modern luxuries and amenities while retaining their antique charm. It is all bright, comfortable and quiet (we have special double glazed windows, an important amenity in a noisy city).
The apartment is located in the renowned Mulino Stucky complex, in large part transformed into Hilton Hotel. This is a major plus for guests of this apartment, as they are able to use its 5 stars amenities (like a Spa, a gym, restaurants, bars, a trendy Skyline Rooftop Bar), to be paid separately, while taking advantage of an affordable accommodation price.

The concierge service is another very convenient plus to enjoy your stay at its best.

Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is located in an ideal position: in the lagoon, in front of the see, close to the mountains (less than 1 hour and a half), close to some cultural and historical cities like Verona, Treviso, Vicenza and Treviso.

The Venice, Veneto / Giudecca area

Giudecca is the gondola shaped group of 8 interconnected islands minutes away from Piazza San Marco and Venice's major attractions.

In Giudecca there are some Villas built by rich Venetians that boast some of the most beautiful gardens in the city still left intact. One of the main attractions of the Giudecca is Palladio's Redentore church built in 1577 to celebrate the salvation of the city after a terrible plague, where there are some Paolo Veronese's paintings. The Redentore festival that celebrates the end of the plague every third Saturday in July is one of Venice 's most popular festivals. In Giudecca there are also other important churches as Zitelle, where there is an important congress center, and Sant'Eufemia of the VII centrury.

In Giudecca there are some interesting palaces like Villa Herriot and Casa dei Tre Oci.
The Island is also the home to Harry's Dolce where from a terrace table you can enjoy fine views of the city while indulging in some of finest cuisine to be found in Venice.

The apartment is in Molino Stucky, which has been hailed by experts as one of the “most important restorations" in the last fifty years. Within its red brick facades, pointed turrets and characteristic windows there is the Hilton hotel. Its unique (in Venice) rooftop pool has spectacular views over the island of Giudecca to the east and across the canal to the main city centre.

The apartment is just 10 minutes by boat from San Marco square and 2 minutes from Zattere, where you can find museums, palaces and churches to visit. It is just 20 minutes far from Lido where there is the beach and in September the International Movies Festival.

By plane: From Venice's Marco Polo Airport or from Treviso's Airport there are regular and inexpensive bus and coach services or taxis direct to Piazzale Roma in Venice. The most confortable way to reach the apartment is with ALILAGUNA boat which bring you in front of Molino Stucky while you admire the Venician lagoon.
From Piazzale Roma you can take a water taxi or catch the water bus (Vaporetto) ACTV Line 2 or 41, alighting at "Sacca Fisola" or "Palanca" waterbus stop. Alternatively, you can always opt to take a water taxi across the lagoon from the airport, or the regular Alilaguna waterbus service which connects the airport to Molino Stucky.

By train: When you arrive at the city's railway station "Santa Lucia", you can take the public water bus service "vaporetto" ACTV line 2 or 41 , which travels down the Giudecca canal and stops at the "Sacca Fisola" or "Palanca" waterbus stop.

By car: If you are flying to Venice or Treviso airports and wish to hire a car, you will find many different car hire agencies available. In order to reach the property by road, follow the indications for the A4 motorway in the direction of "Venezia". Turn off at Mestre and cross the Ponte della Liberta', and you will arrive at Tronchetto garage - less expensive than others - and, having safely parked your car here, you can then take the public service boat "Vaporetto" ACTV Line 2 or 41 to "Sacca Fisola" or "Palanca" as previously described.

The rate includes someone who'll come and wait for you in front of the Molino Stucky entrance, where the Alilaguna stops, take you to the apartment and hand you the keys. Just few meters from the entrance of the building there is also a quick boat service to and from Zattere (a couple of minutes) and Saint Mark's Square (10 minutes).

British Airways, Ryanair, Easy Jet, Jet2.com, Bmibaby and Thomsonfly all provide regular low cost flights from UK main and regional airports. These fly either to the main Marco Polo airport (www.veniceairport.it) or to Treviso airport (www.trevisoairport.it).

“Just the perfect apartment” The apartment is very clean and spacious enough for a family with two children. It has all the amenities one could need and everything in perfect conditions. The terrazzo floor in the apartment and the marble in the bathroom are just great. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They sorted transfers from the station, gave us a map and it was their local knowledge and help that assisted us to make the most of our stay. The location is in the peaceful (far from the crowd) and luxury residential area next door to the Hilton hotel. It is safe and yet it is only 2 min far by boat from Zattere (one of the most exclusive area of the city) and 10 minutes from San Marco square. It is the perfect place for anyone visiting Venice to stay, being both set apart and only a few minutes away from the rest of Venice. From Giudecca you can admire the Venician lagoon and some beautiful churches, like Redentore, which was designed by Palladio. The hotel SPA is great. I would recommend this place for anyone with allergies as there is no carpet; superb cleanliness. The pictures you find on the website are just like what you get. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Venice.
