It is a lovely apartment with a nice private courtyard. the floor is made in Venetian Terrazzo, and antique technic used in Venice from the 8th Century. the apartment has a double bedroom and a convertible sofa that becomes 2 single beds in the living room. the kitchen is full equipped with dishwasher, oven and microwave, there is also a small laundry room with washing machine. the living room has LCD TV and stero system with I-Pod/Phone/USB adaptor. It has air conditioning and self heating.
The apartment is located very close to the train station or to the arrival area from the airport (Piazzale Roma) and at the same time is just few minutes to the main locations in town, Rialto bridge is at 10 minutes walking and S. Marco square at about 25 minutes.
The apartment is at the ground floor in a quiet "calle" just few meters from the main walking street.

Our apartment is located in the university district and just two bridges from Campo Santa Margherita which is noted on Public Places "60 of the Worlds Greatest Places" list and it is the largest square in Venice and a popular hangout for Venetians young and not so young. It has a great choice of restaurants and cafés and a vegetable and fish market. You can sit in the sun and enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and watch the world go by.
There are supermarkets, bakeries and patisseries in the vicinity also. The apartment is conveniently located for your arrival and departure as it is a short walk from the train station and the bus station at Piazzale Roma. You can walk to Rialto in 15 minutes and get to St.Mark's square in 20 minutes by taking the vaporetto at San Toma'.

This family was in Venice beginning of March 2011: "It was a great advantage to arrive in Venice by bus from the airport and be able to walk to the apartement in 5-10 minutes. We very quickly found ourselves in beautiful streets with picturesque canals. The apartement is small but well equipt and is comfortable, clean and well heated. There is not a huge amount of light but it has a super little outside area which allows you to eat and relax outside when the weather permits. The location allows you to get around Venice easily and the fact it is in a student area means there are lots of cafes, cheap restaurants and bars situated all around. We found this area seemed less touristy than some of the other areas . We found it to be a good choice with children and would easily recommend it."
