Casa Palladio is located in Venice, Dorsoduro, just across in the beautiful Island of Giudecca that is part of Venice but separated from it by the Giudecca Channel. You will feel like a Venetian as this part of Venice is populated by locals, You will see and experience the every day life; mothers taking their children to school, women putting their laundry on the line as they have done for centuries.

It is easily reached in just 5 minutes by frequent public service ( the vaporetto), working day and night. It has the enormous advantage of being well protected from mass tourism. Nevertheless it boasts two of the most famous churches from Palladio Redentore and Zitelle, La Casa dei Tre Oci, recently renovated. 'The house with three eyes' designed by artist Mario De Maria has been turned into a cultural center for contemporary art and photography. Also three of the most renowned hotels in Venice, ( the Cipriani, the Bauer Palladio and Hilton Stucky) and two cult Ventian restaurants: Altanella in Calle delle Erbe and Harris Dolci are here. A very short walk away, you will find everything you wish for shopping, banks and food. There is a richly suppliied supermarket (not easy to find in Venice), as well as various groceries and a superb fish monger, the best in town after Rialto market. As you get off the Zitelle vaporetto stop to head to the apartment, you overlook the Venetian Lagoon, with superb views of St. Mark's Square, beautiful at any time of year. Guidecca, originally the working area of Venice has now been transformed into the 'in place' with many celebrities buying properties, e.g. Elton John. Don't to miss a chance to stay here . It is much more than just an excellent value!

The North East Italy region

The Venetian region has a great deal to offer with its 7 provinces with many cities of cultural interest to the visitors as Venice, Padua,

Abano and Montegrotto Terme offers wellness centers with thermal waters, Verona with the most famous arena for great opera events as well as the low lands of the Brenta river with the magnificent villas, Veneto is also one of Italy's most important wine growing areas, producing world-class wines such as Prosecco, Valpolicella, and Soave. The region's fanciest wine, The Amarone della Valpolicella, is made with carefully selected grapes and is among the most expensive red wines in the world.

Venice, Veneto

Venice, the city's appeal and authentic beauty is not so much in its largest sights, but in its labyrinth of alleys, canals and bridges; its multitude of piazzas; and its elegantly frilly architecture. one can just spend hours walking around taking pictures or sitting on a sunny terrace, watching people go by. The reasons why you should come to Venice may not be the ones you expect, but, it will bewitch you for the unexpected and then again, it may entice you to spend at least a week.

Venice's cuisine will please all Italian-cuisine-loving gourmands with its fresh simplicity and focus on seasonal and local ingredients. The lagoon surrounding the city abounds with delicious fish and seafood, while Veneto, the region where Venice is located, is one of Italy's most fertile and delivers a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables year-round.

The reasons to visit Venice are many and you will be marvel at every canal you encounter and every bridge you cross they might all look somewhat the same, but are all magical in their own way. To refuel with Spritz, Venice's quintessential cocktail and cichetti, local tapas-style bites made from seasonal ingredients or to sneak into an out-of-the-way restaurant listen and to listen what the locals order, and then ask for the same thing, in Italian. To get lost in the maze of narrow streets and alleys. To walk through St. Mark's Place past midnight and feel yourself fall in love with the city.

Hop on a short ferryboat ride and end up in the brightest and most beautiful island you've possibly ever seen: Burano. These guys where on to the color blocking trend way before all of us were! Spend a day at the Lido Beach and take a bike ride of the island.
