This beautiful two-bedroom apartment is located near to the 13th century "portail Levis" area of the historic town of Vence. The villa is set in the middle of a large and quiet Mediterranean garden - approximately 3600 square metres on different levels with palm trees, cypresses, bougainvillea, mimosa and roses.
The heart of the house was built in the middle of the 19th century. All rooms are light and airy, some fitted out in typical Provencal style with French doors and shutters.

This lovely, two bedroom, two-bathroom apartment has been tastefully furnished and benefits from its own garden terrace, kept cool and shaded in summer by a vine-covered pergola and terrace above.
It has a fully equipped kitchen area, combined with a bright, homely dining/living room. Kitchen facilities include an oven, 4-flame gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine.
The master bedroom is a good size, with king-size bed, an en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobes.
The other bedroom has a double bed and super views over the hills beyond. It also has an en-suite shower room with fitted wardrobes.
Communal washing machine facilities are available.

For the summertime there is a communal, fully equipped outside-kitchen with a barbecue. Deck chairs and sun umbrellas can also be used in the garden. All apartments have on site parking (one car per apartment), central heating, and fully equipped kitchens.

End-of-stay cleaning: has been priced separately, so that if you are staying for more than 1 week you are not paying in duplicate. It is 60 Euros and paid directly to the owner.
Taxe de Séjour: in France, it's usually necessary to pay this at the end of your stay. For this property it is 0.70 Euros per person (over 13 years), per night and is payable directly to the owner.

The owner may request a damage deposit of 150 Euros on arrival. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

The Mediterranean beaches of Nice, Antibes and Cannes are close by. Tennis, golf and other sports facilities are nearby, as well as a local outdoor swimming pool from May - Sept. With its close proximity to the hilly countryside, this makes the apartment an ideal base for those who enjoy the outdoors, walking and cycling.
Within easy reach of Nice, its international airport and all that the Cote d’Azur has to offer.
Vence is an artist’s town and along with its equally well-known neighbouring town of Saint Paul de Vence, is situated amidst the beautiful hilly scenery west of Nice.
It has drawn artists both well known and amateur, and a special attraction is Matisse’s Chapel, a short walking distance from the old town. Another is the Chagall painting in the Cathedral.
There is a wide range of shops, restaurants and markets in the historical old part of the town, and the apartment is situated adjacent.

"Perfect location for a memorable holiday."
This was our second visit to this property in three years, which I guess says a lot. For us, the location is perfect, quiet but no more than 5 minute's walk from the centre of a fascinating media… More

Hello there, thanks so much for taking the time to review and once again we're so sorry you suffered with the mosquitoes. It's true they can be a pest in the summer and as you say, it's definitely a good idea to take some repellent. We're taking steps to improve the situation for next summer. Regarding the garden furniture, it's good quality with wood recliner chairs & cushions and wrought-iron/mosaic dining table & chairs, with pleasure we'll have a look at your comments. As you say, the property is spacious with good facilities and it's also in an excellent location just a short walk from the old town - we've had many happy clients stay and return over the years.
