Home description

La Roubine, built 1.5 years ago, is perfect for those who wish to discover the sunny French countryside on your own and following your rhythm and likes. La Roubine, is at the outskirts of the picturesque village of Velleron, which is famous for the farmers market offering a large choice of vegetables, fruit, olive oil, flowers and handcraft daily.

La Roubine is well equipped and tastefully decorated with quality materials. It reflects the provincial style mixed with quality furniture from the 70’s. The windows opening to three directions – North, South and West assure an agreeable atmosphere and the climate assures a comfortable room temperature.

The open kitchen is equipped for food lovers with sophisticated cookware, utensils and even cook books. The bedroom faces South to the spacious garden allowing privacy and peace. The available multimedia and internet equipment, films, music and games provide amusement often needed especially after visiting the various tourist sites in the surrounding area.

Your multicultural hosts are available to help you and are fluent in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, Spanish or French. The native French host specialises in teaching French as a foreign language and can help you by giving French courses during your stay.

Neighbouring friends’ B&Bs or gîtes are recommended for those wishing to holiday with friends or family.

Antique lovers and art collectors will be gratified by the nearly 300 permanent antique dealers and second hand shops here. L'Isle sur la Sorgue hosts antiques' fairs at Easter and over the August 15th holiday that have given a worldwide reputation to this small city. More than 500 antique dealers and second hand dealers gather here to show their treasures to customers from all over the world.

The town of Carpentras is in the reach of 15 km’s. Today it is escpecially famous for the truffels and the Friday market.

Velleron / Les Romarins area

La Roubine is in the heart of Provence is in the charming village of Velleron. The surrounding area is richly endowed in beautiful villages and historic regional towns such as Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Pernes les Fontaines and Avignon. One can reach easily, by bike or car, the charming villages of Venasque or Gordes, the famous villages of the Luberon mountains, such as Menerbes or Lacoste, as well as the splendid view on the okra slopes in Roussillon. Velleron is in the crosspoint of several famous wine areas : Côte du Rhône (Château neuf du Pape, Vaqueras, Gigondas), Luberon or Mont Ventoux.
There's also a wide variety of local attractions including several golf courses,tennis, horse riding and daily outdoor Provencal street markets world-renowned for their atmosphere, their colours, their food, and their bargains.
