Home description
The apartment is part of a small modern development. It is situated off a small road in very beautiful and peaceful surroundings (small woods next door). It's very safe for children to play outside. The surrounding area consists of quaint small houses. The local shops, restaurants, swimming pools are a 5 minute walk up the road.
The apartment has a superb kitchen / living room with 2 large sofa beds and air-conditioning, a bedroom with double bed and a shower/toilet room. Both the bedroom and living room lead onto a large balcony. The balcony has stunning views, ideal to enjoy a drink and a fantastic sunset.
We have provided plenty of CDs and DVDs as well as games to keep the entire family happy.
Heating is available if you should get cold.

The Lovech region
Arbanassi is ideally located in the centre of Bulgaria 3km from the beautiful city of Veliko Turnovo, the ancient capital of Bulgaria. If you want a taste of the real Bulgaria, this is a perfect place to start.
You are a short ride away from pretty mountain villages and towns such as Elena, Apriltsi, Tyravna and Gabrovo. Just outside the town of Gabrovo is the impressive museum village of Etura with traditional houses and working craftsmen.
The area has many monasteries including Kilifarevo, Dryanovo and Dryanovski and Bozhentsi. At Dryanovski is also the interesting Bacho Kiro caves and a recently opened high wire adventure course, great fun for aduits and children.
A journey from Gabrovo to Kazanluk provides beautiful mountain scenery travelling through the Shipka Pass with a stop at the Freedom Monument (500 steps to the top) but well worth the walk for the great views, and then the contrasting Socialist Party monument which resembles spaceship.
Why not combine a trip to Arbanassi with a visit to our Bansko apartment in the Pirin mountains and a visit to the Black Sea.
Veliko Tarnovo / Arbanassi area
Arbanassi is regarded as one of the most picturesque villages in Bulgaria. It is ideally situated in the centre of Bulgaria overlooking the old part of the ancient Bulgarian capital – Veliko Tarnovo and the river Yantra. Arbanassi is a small, unspoilt village frequented by wealthy Bulgarians and is a popular cultural tourist destination by Japanese, Americans and Germans often visited as a part of the Danube holiday iterinary, visiting its beautifully restored housers and monasteries. The former communist leaders presidential palace, which is now an exclusive hotel has impressive views of the region and is located just 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The village has a number of restaurants and two swimming pools located within hotels available for public use.
Veliko Tarnovo with its precepitously perched houses rising up the steep hillside overlooking the River Yantra is famous for its medieval fortress from which the spectacular “Sound and Light" show is shown most nights and provides a must see experience. This cosmoplotian university town has a number of museums, churches and a quaint old town with numerous craft shops and restaurants offering spectacular views of the river and fort. Every year in mid July Veliko hosts a free international Folklore festival.

Transfer Sofia/Varna to Veliko Tarnovo by luxury coach approx 3 hours. Short taxi ride to Arbanassi or use our local management company. Car hire is available from www.bulgariarent.com or www.rentacarbulgaria.com (approx. £14 per day).
