About the home

Casa Miranda is in a very picturesque almond growing region with stunning mountain views. It is in a quiet and safe location. The villa has private pool in landscaped gardens. There are 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, comfortable lounge, terrace and balcony and the kitchen has all mod cons.

The weather is hot but not humid in the summer months. The quiet location makes for a very relaxing holiday with easy access to local towns and the coast.

Pool is best between mid June and mid September.

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

The Andalucia / Almeria Province region

Almeria province is the sunniest and driest in Spain. The region of Loz Velez is an almond growing area in a mountain location with easy access to the coast. The Costa de Almeria is 40 kilometres away in a direct line or 55 kilometres easy drive by motorway. There are good sandy beaches on both sides of the port town of Aguilas which has a very good beach-side walk with restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours.

Within an hour's drive are the Agua Park at Vera Playa and the historic hill town and beach of Mojacar as well as the coastal national park of Cabo de Gatas. The pottery making town of Nijar and the inland cave towns of Orce are also an hour away. Granada with the world famous Alhambra Palace can be reached in 90 minutes.

The Velez Rubio area

Velez Rubio is a thriviing town and one of the white villages of Andalucia with narrow streets and tradtional houses in the centre. It has a weekly market and has many historic buildings such as the church of La Encarnacion. There are many cafes and bars and it has a lively street atmostphere in the summer evenings.

Velez Blanco, high up in the national park of Maria, is a fascinating hill town with narrow streets, white houses, good restaurants and a prominent castle.

“Fantastic holiday” We have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks at Casa Miranda. The villa and surroundings are simply stunning. The villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need and is very spacious and comfortable. The pool and garden areas are well kept and are very spacious - plenty of room for 3 teenage children! Velez Rubio is an easy 10 minute drive where there is a good choice of Spanish bars and restaurants and shops. The water park and coast are an easy 45 minute drive and well worth a day out. We would definitely return to Casa Miranda and are missing it already. Response: It's wonderful to know you had everything you need and also that you had such a great time. Thank you.

“Perfect Location, Perfect Villa” A fantastic holiday, Villa lovely, Views lovely, peace and quiet perfect. Everything supplied, to make a relaxing holiday. Not too far to Velez Rubio with cafe's, bars and shops. So fab, have booked for two trips next year. - Can't wait.
