Casa de Colina is an exclusive 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom country house with private pool and stunning mountain views. The house has a hillside location overlooking the beautiful Spanish town of Velez Rubio and is only 2 minutes from the town with it's shops, bars and restaurants. Casa de Colina is built on three floors. On the main living level there is a large double through living room with open log fire, dining room, under stairs cloak room with a Safe, fully fitted kitchen, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms plus balcony terrace. Two further bedrooms (with Captains beds that can be single or double) and a further bathroom are located on the third level. On the lower level there is a large 3 car garage/workshop, utility room and games room with en-suite w.c and shower room. Outside there is a private swimming pool, terraces and BBQ area. The ‘Casa’ is set in approximately 2.5 acres of private land. We have equipped Case De Colina so you can enjoy your holiday in Real Spain but with all the comforts of home.

The Costa de Almeria region
Visiting Spain is not only about sun, great cuisine, and a warm welcome, but also its rich monumental heritage and dazzling natural environment. The Almeria region has a diversity of landscapes from the beaches, across the desert plains to the soaring mountains. There is a perfect destination for everyone. Unlike a number of Spanish regions that are visited by tourists from around the world, the majority of Almeria maintains it's historic Spanish character.
Velez Rubio / Los Molinos Almeria area
Velez Rubio is located within the Velez Natural Park. It's rich heritage is illustrated by the spectatcular church in the middle of town which can be seen from miles around. The Los Velez area comprises Velez Rubio, Velez Blanco, Chirivel, Maria and dozens of villages and hamlets. The area is still very much Real Spain and has not been spoilt by over-development or anglification.The area around Los Velez is an area of outstanding natural beauty with activities for many outdoor pursuits. Cueva de los Letreros, a Unesco World Heritiage Site, is the park's most well-known cave, with some of Europe's most important rock paintings including Indalo Man, the regions symbol. Velez Rubio hosts a number of fiestas throughout the year and has a full range of local restaurants and bars catering for most tastes. Less than an hour away is the Mini Hollywood Theme park. An array of Hollywood blockbusters have been filmed in the area including The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Laurance of Arabia. Mini Hollywood is a whole day experience with a full size Zoo, Waterpark and the film sets, with regular shows. The Desert Springs Golf course is a short drive away. This unique golf experience is frequented by a range of golfers from around the world.
How to get there
Casa de Colina is served by 4 Spanish airports; Almeria, Alicante, Granada and Murcia each about a 90 minute drive. All of these airports are well served by the low cost airlines. Each airport has easy access to the Spanish motorway system, which compared to the UK network, is empty and very easy to drive on. Casa de Colina is accessed from Exit 106 (was Exit 404) of the E92N motorway. Local directions will be provided on booking confirmation.

Guests are fully responsible for the up-keep of the property during their stay. There is an Insurance Waiver fee of £150 per booking refundable should no damage be incurred. Any damage will be deducted from the waiver at a cost rate.
All payments must be paid in full 45 days in advance of the arrival date.
Payment can be by Bank Transfer, Cash. Cheque or Credit Card via PayPal (Charges are extra).
A non-refundable booking fee of 20% is payable at the time of booking.

18/08/2008 The Traynor and Roberts family have had a lovely time at Casa De Collina villa. This holiday has been the most relaxing holiday we have had for a number of years. In the daytime the pool was great for us all to cool down in. In the night-time the terrace was great to relax and take in the lovely views of the town and mountains. Whilst at the villa a Fiesta was on in Velez Rubio town. The kids enjoyed the fair rides and stalls and the adults enjoyed the ambience. The Saturday market was friendly and the fruit and vegetables fresh and cheap. The facilities at the property were first class and enjoyed by all.
09/10/2007 We just got back yesterday and we were all really sad to leave the villa, it was wonderful we have never had such a relaxing holiday. The kids loved the pool and cbeebies and if the kids are happy then so are we, you were a bit worried about the age of the kids but we had no problems, the two older ones loved the fact they had their own rooms upstairs and we slept below them. The breath taking views of Velez-Rubio, what a lovely place. we'll be back soon I hope

This was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. House was spotlessly clean on arrival and there was food in the cupboards we could eat after our late flight, very grateful, many thanks. Velez Rubio is a quite little town but the restaurants are very good, typical Spanish. Lots to see and do. Pool is great!!Thanks for providing a great base for our holiday.
