Experience the Real Spain! The beach is just 5 minutes drive away and walking country is all around. The 'Sierra Tejeda National Park; is 20 minutes drive away, and 'El Torcal', a magnificent Jurassic Period landscape is about an hour's drive.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol is famous as a holiday location boasting 320 days of sunshine per year. It has many restaurants and bars together with a wide ranging choice of activities.
Just as delightful are all of the natural phenomena that it harbours, including the Nerja Caves and El Torcal & the Wolf Park (look them up on your computer). It is worth visiting Malaga to see the Garden city and Picasso's museum and his birthplace.
Velez Malaga / Algarrobo Pueblo area
Algarrobo Pueblo is a very successful working village and specialises in tropical produce, such as mangos. It is on the 'Sun & Wine Route' which leads to Sayalonga, Competa and many other fascinating towns/villages.
There are a number of Tapas bars, one of the best in Andalucia, is just a short walk from the house. All of the local shops, bank and post office are within 30 seconds walk. The town boasts a really lovely park and a large outdoor swimming pool, which is beautifully kept, and open during the summer.
There is a fantastic Morrocan tea room called 'La Teteria' where you can chill out. Nearby towns worth visiting are, amongst many others, Velez Malaga, Nerja, Frigliana.
How to get there
Malaga Airport is less than 45 minutes drive from Algarrobo Pueblo, it is served by many airlines, including BA, Easyjet and Monarch. There are ample car hire firms, and we would suggest booking through your airline. When driving from the airport take the route that says Malaga, then follow signs to Almeria and Motril.
After a while it is all motorway. When Velez Malaga is reached it is just 3 km to go. Come off at J277 and follow signs to Algarrobo (NOT Algarrobo Costa). After 1 km you come to the pueblo.

Further details indoors: The owners live directly above the property, and so are always close at hand.
We do have a cat, but he spends most of his time on the terrace, especially when it's hot.
Further details outdoors: The terrace has a pergola and the vines are beginning to bare fruit. It is ideal for sunbathing and dining in the fresh air.
There is a BBQ and a fridge for those cool beers, wine and Spanish champagne.
