Home description
Villa Mimosa is a family home set 1700ft above sea level. Half a kilometer from Daimalos one of the 'White Villages' dating back to the 9th century. This is an ideal centre for exploring eastern Andalusia, near to Competa Frigliana, Nerja ( with the famous Caves) and Torre Del Mar, the nearest sea-side at 15Km.
The Villa benefits from it's own private pool ideal for swimmers of all ages. A 10ft paddling pool is available for toddlers, by request. The Villa is occupied by the owners for 6 months of the year and therefore is fully equipped for comfort. Good dogs are welcome.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
This region was the crossing point for the first homo-sapiens from Africa to Europe. The caves locally have been occupied for tens of thousands of years. This is the area conquered by the Romans and subsequently by the Moors, whose influence on the area can be seen in the Castle in Malaga and the Alhambra in Granada; 90 mins drive from the Villa. The Seirra Nevada mountains above Granada boast the highest public road in the whole of Europe, though it is only open to cars in the Summer and a 4x4 is recommended.
Velez Malaga / Arenas area
Velez Malaga has Aquavelis, a water park. The local Mall has cinema, ten pin bowling. Bars restaurants and fast food outlets.
Torre del Mar has the longest promenade in Andelucia, so we are told, with many Chirringuitos ( cafes on the beach). Caleta port is a working commercial fishing port, if you're up early enough to catch the fishermen. The famous Cuevas de Nerja are under an hour by car. Local attractions ( within 50 miles) are fun parks, wolf park and many more.
How to get there
Malaga airport is 50/5 mins drive. Car hire is advisable, but arrangements can be made to meet you at the Airport and take you to the Villa (at extra cost). Detailed directions will be sent on completion of booking. Budget airlines fly to Malaga from most UK airports.
Car ferry to Santander from Plymouth takes 18 hours (over night). Santander to Daimalos is 11 hours driving time. Portsmouth- Bilbao a 36 hour crossing and 11 hour driving time to the villa.

The pool is from 4ft to 7ft deep, non-swimmers must be supervised at all times.
Conditions
A booking deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking and the balance 4 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. We recommend that you take insurance in case for some tragic reason you are unable to take your holiday. A breakages deposit cheque of £200 or 300€ will be required on arrival and will be returned within 7 days of departure, providing the inventory is intact. Smokers are welcome, but please do not smoke in the Villa and dispose of the butts properly, not all over the terraces!
