This is the villa for you if you want to get away from it all and have a break from your usual routine.
Villa Camaleon is set in a quiet and private location surrounded by olive and almond groves. Views from the villa and outdoor areas are truly breathtaking towards the Mediterranean, the rugged mountains and the traditional pueblo blanco (white village) of Arenas nestling in the valley below.
The interior of the villa is spacious and beautifully furnished to a very high standard, including everything you need for a fantastic self-catering holiday. Outside there is an al fresco dining area with barbecue, and a large roof terrace, perfect for sunbathing or just lying on a sun lounger enjoying a good book. Or you could sit with a pre-dinner drink on the sun soaked stone clad terrace by the private 8mx4m pool ,where there are ample sun loungers and a pergola to provide shade.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Clean beaches can be found at Caleta de Velez, a fifteen minute drive away, which also has a luxury private marina and 18 hole golf course. Nerja is closeby with picturesque coves, excellent restaurants of all types and the option to take a horse drawn cart around the old Spanish town.
Villa Camaleon is ideally located for visiting famous attractions like the Alhambra Palace, Granada, just one and a half hours drive away. You can also go skiing for the day in Granada´s Sierra Nevada resort between November and March. The beautiful cities of Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba and Malaga with its new Picasso museum are also within easy reach for daytrips.
Velez Malaga / Arenas area
Arenas is a short drive away and is a traditional Pueblo Blanco or white village. Those who like to see the real Spain will fall in love with the tiny winding streets, the quaint village houses and of course the locals who always have a friendly greeting. Tourism hasn’t hit this village yet, and this is reflected in the prices, which are incredibly reasonable. A superb three course lunch can be had in Bar Juani for under 10 Euros, including a drink!
Arenas is famous in Europe for having the largest population of chamaleons, whose colour changing skills are magical to watch. The area is also famed for romantic historic tales of the clashes between the Christians and the Moors. The ruins of one Moorish castle can be seen from the villa.
Larger Amenities: All modern amenities can be found 4-5km from Villa Camaleon in the town of Velez-Malaga and its coastal neighbour Torre Del Mar. There is a large covered shopping centre with hypermarket between these two towns adjacent to the motorway, just a 15 minute drive from the Villa. Also in Velez-Malaga and Torre Del Mar there are a wide selection of supermarkets.
Bars and restaurants are dotted on every corner, with all types and tastes being catered for at very reasonable prices. The typically Spanish fish restaurants are well worth a visit for their freshly caught shellfish and tapas, delicious!
How to get there
Fly to Malaga airport: Just a 45 minute drive (36km) from the villa, many airlines fly into Malaga, including Easyjet, Flybe, Monarch, ThomsonFly and British Airways. Fly to Granada airport: 1.5 hours drive from the villa and serviced by Ryanair.
Car hire: Both Malaga and Granada airports have a wealth of car hire companies to choose from. Group B or above car is recommended.
