Really soak up part of Spanish life by staying in a tradtional Spanish village still far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern day life. We have produced a cosy wood beamed village house adding a beautiful roof terrace with views across the village to the sea. An ideal place to dine, sunbathe, watch romantic sunsets or just chill and plan your day.
The house makes an ideal base for the mountains or the beach, being a 20 minute drive from the 4000 Hectare Sierra de Tejeda National Park and only a 5 minute drive to the sea and Caleta Marina. Golf courses within easy driving distance. Good base for Paragliders, cyclists, walkers, horseriding, fishing or just to relax.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa Del Sol is a beautiful holiday location, boasting 320 days of sunshine a year. With an array of acitivities to keep all the family happy, horse-riding, tennis, hiking, golf, cycling, fishing or just lazing on the many miles of clean sandy beaches. Restaurants and bars are in abundance plus some breathtaking drives up in to the Sierras for the adventurous.
Velez Malaga / Algarrobo Pueblo area
Algarrobo Pueblo is on the Sun and Wine Route which passes through Sayalonga, Competa and Torrox Villages. The nearest town is Torre Del Mar with Nerja only 15 km away , where all the usual costal amenities including nightclubs etc can be found. Malaga Airport an easy 30 minute drive. Algarrobo pueblo itself has several good restaurants, bars, supermarkets, small shops and a bank. Bavaria Golf and Anoretta Golf are both close by. The picturesque Puerto de Caleta, (Caleta Harbour) is only a few minutes drive away, where we can arrange day trips on a motor cruiser with lunch so you can enjoy the stunning views of Caleta and the mountain of Maromar from the Mediterranean.
Algarrobo village has a large tropical park located next to the public swimming pool and tennis courts. The church of Santa Ana dates from 1505 although the current building was built in the 17th century.
The village is well positioned to enable guests to enjoy the attractions of the Mediterranean sea, the mountains and beautiful countryside making it an ideal destination for walkers, lovers of wildlife and those who wish to sample a typical Spanish white village.
How to get there
Algarrobo Pueblo is located 37 km East of Malaga. Easy-Jet and Flybe are the best budget airlines to Malaga. Flying from London, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter etc. Brittany Ferries sail from Plymouth to Santander in the North of Spain, 12 hours drive from Malaga. P&O Ferries sail from Portsmouth to Bilbao in the North of Spain, 12 hours drive from Malaga. There are plenty of car hire companies located at Malaga airport, remember to book before you arrive as it is always considerably cheaper. Taxis are located outside arrivals and the price to Algarrobo is in the region of £40 - £50.00.

Further details indoors: The house is spread over three floors with a beautiful interior courtyard that leads downstairs to the bathroom and one twin bedroom. The entrance leads to the second twin bedroom and the double bedroom. There are stairs up to the first floor where the open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge are located with a balcony overlooking the street. The last stairs lead you up to a beautiful roof terrace with views across the village to the sea where there is a dining table and chairs plus comfortable patio furniture. There is also a shower room with toilet.
The sunsets at anytime of year are superb and a barbeque is provided for the warm summer nights.
There is also a DVD library consisting of over 20 up to date films for those odd nights away from the bars!!!
Further details outdoors: Although the house does not have its own parking space, there is a place to park and unload luggage and groceries etc. There is plenty of parking at either end of the village being only a few minutes walk to the house.

Due to the stairs we would not think the property suitable for the disabled or very young children. The village pool is open from June to September. The english speaking owners or their representatives are always on hand..
Conditions
Bookings - we require one third of the rental fee on booking to secure the holiday and the balance is due six weeks before your stay . Due to the three flights of stairs we suggest that the property may not be suitable for very small children or elderly people with limited mobility.
