Imagine sipping a tall glass of sangria, your feet dangling in the cool waters of your own private pool, whilst watching the sunset over the most beautiful mountain range in all Andalucia. The silence in this area is amazing, and guests will immediately feel the stresses of daily life washing away as they settle into mountain life. The traditional white village of Arenas is a short drive away, and boasts local bars and tapas restaurants, as well as a small supermarket, post office and open market on Wednesdays.
The nearby towns of Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar play host to some great shopping, lovely beaches, an outdoor water-park for the kids, bars and restaurants catering for every nationality and taste and provide a good contrast to the tranquility of the mountain surroundings at Cortijo Tranquilo. Both towns have a weekly market which is well worth a visit.
Those with a car can take advantage of other activities in the surrounding areas, such as Horse riding, Kayaking, Canyoning, windsurfing, Jeep tours and much more. Your agents can help you to arrange some lovely days out. A visit to the historic city of Granada is a must, as are trips to the Nerja caves and the Botanical Gardens.

Two double bedrooms and one twin room comfortably sleep six people. Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room and toilet. A fully equipped, open plan kitchen leads to the dining room and lounge area, with French doors opening onto the large patio. Three televisions provide satellite and regional television, along with DVD player, Video and a sound system.
A starter pack of essential supplies can be ordered upon request. (Useful for late night or Sunday arrivals). A high chair and travel cot are also available on request.

The large terrace leads onto the swimming pool area and private fenced garden, and features a BBQ area and large dining table for al fresco dining. Sun loungers skirt the pool. An exterior hot tub provides the perfect spot for evening relaxation looking out over the sea. Table and chairs on the upper sun terrace.
Parents are advised that all children need to be supervised around the pool area at all times.

A hire-car is essential for travel from the airport and in order to explore the area further.
Smoking is only permitted outside on the terraces and in the garden area.
Agents for the property are but a stones throw away and are available at all reasaonable times to help with any enquiries, information and ongoing maintenance.
Conditions
A deposit of 25% of the total cost is required on booking confirmation at least 6 weeks prior to the intended date of arrival.
Full payment required 14 days before arrival date.
Any booking less than 6 weeks from booking date requires full payment on confirmation.
Families welcome.
A fully refundable breakages deposit of 200 Euro will be held in cash by the local agents.

Boasting "the best climate in Europe", you will find the sunshine plentiful and the evenings long and warm. The area surrounding Cortijo Tranquilo is steeped in Spanish history, as one of the last strongholds of the Moors you will see the remains of ancient watchtowers and castles lining the horizons.
The traditional white village of Arenas, your closest 'pueblo', retains its Spanish way of life, with local run bars offering set menus of local fare and a small farmers market offering local produce.
Historic Granada is an hour away by car, and visitors are ceaselessly amazed by the Alhambra Palace there, as well as the beauty of the town itself. Nerja, some 40 minutes along the coast road, plays host to a wonderful set of natural caves, in its entirety, the largest cave network in Europe.
The Velez Malaga / Arenas area
Out of the hubbub of the tourist areas, you are still only 15 minutes drive from beautiful beaches, vibrant shopping centres and a selection of fine restaurants. Both Velez Malaga and Torre del Mar are within easy reach and have a little something for everyone.
