Want sun all day, to unwind completely, forget that the outside world actually exists? You can enjoy the villa and have some fun as a family, a couple or a group of friends.
Cortijo Los Pinos is a spacious and well furnished villa which cannot be overlooked, with breathtaking views from all the terraces and swimming pool. The accommodation offers 3 bedrooms, one double and two twin, all en-suite, a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, a large lounge dining area {38 m2} with high ceilings, exposed beams and a wood burning stove.
All rooms, including the kitchen,have both air-conditioning and heating. The bedrooms also have ceiling fans which can be used instead of the air conditioning to cool the warm night air.
The swimming pool, which is 8 metres by 4 metres with a depth of 1 metre to 1.5 metres, is not overlooked and has a large sun deck and newly installed 8 seater jacuzzi, toilet with pool shower, bar-b-que and ample space for both sun-bathing and children to play freely.
The south facing porch, swimming pool terrace and pergola garden are all perfect for al-fresco eating offering different views of the Mountains of Malaga, El Torcal, Lake Vinuela and the Mediterranean sea. On a clear day the coast of Morocco can be seen.

The lounge area is large and allows for free play of children, as is the pool deck and garden. The owners believe in the Spanish saying "children should be much loved, much seen and much heard".
A child's cot and high chair can be provided on request. An additional put-u-up can also be made available.

The swimming pool area is fenced from the garden allowing it to be closed off for the safety of children. It also has its own shower-room and toilet.

PLEASE NOTE;
The villa has an outdoor swimming pool (8x4) and is normally at its warmest between May to September. The pool may occasionally be unavailable due to essential maintenance, for part of the day.
The swimming pool will be closed for use from 08.00 a.m. on morning of departure.
Pets are allowed at the discretion of the owners
DEPARTURE
Guests are requested to leave the villa by 11.00 a.m. on day of departure, however if there are no new guests arriving on that day other arrangements can be made on request.
INSURANCE LIABILITY
We recommend that all guests have full and sufficient travel, personal accident, injury and medical expenses insurance. Cortijo Los Pinos accepts no liability for cancellation, injury, damage, loss, vexation, distress, disappointment or irregularities suffered by the guest. Luggage, valuables and all other personal effects at all times and in all circumstances are at the guests risks,
A refund of payment in the event of cancellation will only be made if the dates can be re-booked minus any additional advertising/administration fees incurred.
PAYMENT
We will honour bookings for up to 14 working days, if a money transfer has not been made within this time the booking will be cancelled and the villa re-advertised unless otherwise agreed. If another enquiry is received we will contact the initial enquiry who will have priority over booking. Full details for payment can be found under "TARIFF".
Conditions
Property has to be vacated by 11.00 am on day of departure and occupancy from 4.30 pm.
The swimming pool will be closed from 09.00 a.m. on day of departure to permit essential maintenance.

The Costa del Sol region
This sun-soaked stretch of the Spanish coastline in the Province of Malaga, bordering on the provinces of Seville, Cordoba and Granada is steeped in historic, artistic and natural heritage. Nestling in the foothills of the Sierra de Tejeda under the benign gaze of Mount Maroma the many white villages have been influenced and shaped by their Moorish past. The Cortijo is set amongst a network of Roman roads, which criss-cross this area of rural Spain allowing you to feel part of its history. The Velez Malaga / Arenas area
The villa is situated in the mountains of rural Andalucia and is approached from the main Velez Malaga/Arenas road then 1.5 km on the old Roman road network of tracks which criss crosses the entire countryside. A dream for the walker, artist, bird watcher, mountain biker or simply for those who wish to lounge in the sun with nothing more than a pile of books and a glass of wine. There is a large library of books which should suit all tastes. There is also a wide selection of CDs and an iM310 Digital Speaker System for iPod and MP3 players.
The villa is within walking distance of the village which offers a bank with cashpoint, a supermarket, a chemist (24hours), numerous shops, bars and restaurants, an internet facility and also a small local market on Wednesday. There is also a bus service to and from Velez Malaga on a daily basis.
The area of Arenas village is home to the densest population of chameleons in Europe and is the mascot of the village. The village church still has its minaret from Moorish times and the ruins of the Castle of Bentomiz, which was one of the last to fall when the Christians finally drove the Moors from Andalucia, can be seen from the villa. The village itself is a meandering maze of streets which still retains the magic and atmosphere of old Spain. The residents are warm and friendly and ever ready to offer help or advice.
Many other activities such as horse riding, water sports, taking a flight over the Sierras or organised walks can be arranged through the owners.
There are numerous excellent golf courses, the closest, Baviera Golf , a 27 hole competition course, is visible from the villa and only 15 minutes drive away. pre book at www.bavieragolf.com.

Nearby Velez Malaga is a delightful historical town with ample shops and restaurants and an excellent open air market every Thursday. There is also a large shopping centre with a bowling alley next door. The Water Park is open during the summer months and offers an exciting day out at very reasonable prices.
Torre-del-Mar and Caleta have good clean beaches with many excellent chiringuitos and restaurants. A promenade runs along the Mediterranean coastline from Torre del Mar to the Marina at Caleta and is a pleasant walk or cycle ride. During the summer months there are market stalls, children's fun fairs and local open air entertainment. Sun loungers and parasols are available for hire on many parts of the beach. Nearby Go-Kart racing is also available again at very reasonable prices.
The nearby Caves of Nerja are only 25 minutes away and there are many drives up into the picturesque white villages of Competa, Frigliana, Periana and Comares.

Guided walks with a botanical expert can be pre/booked as well as private flights to view the Sierra Nevada and wonderful coastline of the area. Contact the owners for more information as pre booking is advisable.
For the more adventurous there is canoeing, wind-surfing, kayaking, horse riding, scuba diving and many more sports available, all of which can be arranged through the owner. Fishing trips are also possible at the nearby port of Caleta de Velez.
If you wish to visit the Alhambra in Granada it is neccesary to obtain tickets and these should be organised as soon as possible prior to your arrival through www.alhambratickets.com (Approximately 15 Euros). The wonderful city of Malaga is also worth a visit with the Pablo Picasso Foundation and Museum and its beautiful gardens.

CAR HIRE
A 4x4 vehicle does makes light work of the road
'Ordinary' cars can get up and down tracks okay. The cars most popular with visitors have been a Kangoo, Seat or Peugot, A MINIMUM OF 1.6 ENGINE IS RECOMMENDED. In this part of Andalucia, we have lots of old Roman roads and these are not usually covered in tarmac.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at this villa,when we arrived we met Tricia & Carole in the local village & they took us to the villa.The road to the villa is unmade so a bit bumpy but well worth the journey,i will not try to describe the the views because it would be impossible "WOW.The villa has everything you could wish for with some very nice home touches,bedrooms as with all the rooms are spotlessly clean.Outside the pool area & jacuzzi are kept clean with towels for the jacuzzi & face cloths in the outside shower & wc.If you are looking for somewhere to just chill out & relax "YOU HAVE JUST FOUND IT" We will be returning soon. EASTER, CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR. Please note that our tariff remains the same for these dates.
1. All dates will be confirmed and should another request for those dates be received the original request will be regarded as the priority booking.
2. Payment of 20% deposit to be made on confirmation of booking either by money transfer via bank/internet banking or credit card through PAYPAL, when paying by Paypal any commission charged must be added to the rental rate. The balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to date of arrival.
3. If booking with less than 8 weeks prior to arrival payment should be made in full.
4. An individual set of sheets, pillow cases, six towels, face cloth, shower mitt and swimming pool towel per person per week. Bath robes are also provided for both the shower room and the jacuzzi.Please bring your own beach towels.
5. A deposit against damage of 200 GBP must be paid into the UK Bank prior to arrival. This will be returned on the day of departure via internet banking.
6. Discounts available for 3 weeks plus bookings in winter.
7. Welcome Pack on arrival.
8. A fee of Euros 40 is payable for end of stay clean. Additional maid and laundry service is available on request.
9. We do have a water limit of 8,000 litres per week, thus making water a very precious and expensive commodity. This amount is more than adequate for a family of 6, any extra used over this limit will incur a fee of Euros 50 per 1000 litres. You can monitor this from the water meter.
10. We also have a limit on electricity and the limit for the villa is 325kWh per week, this is also more than adequate, the average use is 280 kWh, and if this is exceeded the extra cost incurred would be Euros 30 per 50 kWH. This can be monitored from the electric metre.
