The property benefits from a quiet and peaceful location yet is within walking distance of the main square with all its local bars and restaurants. The stunning wide sandy beaches of the Costa de la Luz are only 10 minutes away and the golf courses of Benalup and Montemedio are only a drive away too. Supermarkets, banks, local shops and the local market are also within walking distance of the property.

With the 2 double bedrooms the property is ideal for families. The airy and bright lounge leads onto a balcony with stunning views over the valley and mountains and old town of Vejer and on a clear day a partial view of the atlantic ocean in the distance. The lounge further benefits from english television and a home cinema.

The Costa de la Luz / Cadiz Province region

The Costa de la Luz, or the Coast of Light , is one of the most unspoilt areas of Spain and is still predominately Spanish. With the region's unspoilt white sandy beaches which stretch over several kilometers and the most incredible sunsets it will make the most unforgettable holiday you have ever had. The enormous mountain ranges and several natural parks offer an abundance of local flowers and blossoms and make a great walking holiday.
The 800 year ruling of the Moors has certainly left their moorish legacy which is shown in the architecture of the famous 'pueblos blancos' or white villages. Narrow cobbled streets and arches are the to be found in every village particularly in the capital of the region Cadiz which is only a short distance away and is a must to visit.

The region is also well known as the sherry region and the best place to have a sip of what the locals drink is Jerez de la Frontera with its many Sherry Bodegas.

With the buzzing main square Plaza Espana just around the corner and its numerous bars and restaurants whih are spread around the town and who offer local and international cuisine and are open until late at night it is possible to enjoy a relaxed night out. If you head to the local beach in El Palmar there are also some great restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the sunset, especially in La Chanca and La Torre. There are plenty of activities on offer within the vicinity of Vejer such as watersports (eg. kite surfing, surfing -surf schools are also available-, Tarifa is the area to head for within 30 mins), golf in Montenmedio or Benalup and horse riding is offered throughout the region.

Vejer itself celebrates several Fiestas every year, the most well known are the Semana Santa over Easter and the Feria in August which are worth participating and celebrating with the locals. Live music and dancing in every corner of the town in the warm climate until late at night make it an unforgettable stay.

How to get there

The nearest airport is Jerez de la Frontera with daily flights from London Stansted with budget airline Ryanair. Jerez is 50 minutes from Vejer. Other airports are Seville 1.5 hours, Gibraltar 1h 20min. and Malaga airport 2.5h. Car hire is essential. Hertz offers special prices in connection with a Ryanair flight and Holidayautos.co.uk offers very reasonable car hire as well.
