This recently renovated 400-year old townhouse is situated in one the the quiet, cobbled streets in the old part of Vejer, just a few minutes walk from the Plaza d'Espana. Whilst maintaining many of its original features, it is light and spacious with high standard fixtures and fittings. There is a traditional, fully equipped wooden kitchen with granite worktops and a beautifully tiled floor throughout. The lounge has an iron-grilled glass door leading onto the patio. The choice of furniture and lighting gives the house a warm and cosy atmosphere. There is a fully tiled modern bathroom with washing machine.
Accommodation is over 2 floors. The fully furnished bedrooms are bright and spacious and duvets, linen and towels are provided. The twin-bedded room has a door leading onto the terrace with table and chairs, which has stunning views over the surrounding area, the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains of Morocco. The perfect place for a relaxing drink!

Vejer is a traditional hilltop town and a great place to explore. There are dozens of tapas bars and restaurants, a castle, daily fruit/veg and fish market. The locals are very friendly but bring a dictionary - very little English is spoken! There is also a language school for those wishing to learn Spanish. Please ask for details.

The Costa de la Luz / Cadiz Province region

The Costa de la Luz is a beautiful, unspoilt part of Spain. Fantastic beaches, beautiful mountain scenery.
Activities: walking, cycling, surfing, wind-and kitesurfing, horseriding, golf, birdwatching.
Places of interest: Seville, Jerez (famous horse stables, flamenco dancing), Cadiz, Gibraltar, Morocco
The climate is perfect all year around. Bring your shorts, T-shirts and suntan cream, even in January!

Vejer de la Frontera area

Vejer is a white, hilltop town on the beautiful Atlantic coast of Andalucia. It is a magical place to explore with dozens of small tapas bars, narrow streets with patio pots overflowing with flowers. The beaches along this coast are amongst the best in Europe - huge stretches of golden sand that are - weekends aside - virtually deserted. The coast is dotted with small towns with bars and fish restaurants from where you can watch the wind- and kitesurfers. Surfboards and equipment can be rented near Tarifa, where you can also go horseriding. Lunch goes on forever.... this is a part of Spain where mass tourism is unknows, the pace of life is very slow.
The stunning mountains of the Alcornacales National Park are nearby, as is Europe's best known birdwatching area, Donana National Park. Golf at the Montenmedio Country Club is only 5 km away and there are many other gold clubs nearby. Towns such as Medina Sidonia, Cadiz, Tarifa, Seville and Gibraltar are well worth a visit. There is a regular ferry service from Tarifa to Tangier in Morocco, which takes only 30 minutes.

How to get there

The nearest airport is Jerez (Ryanair). Guests can also fly to Seville, Gibraltar and Malaga, as these are all within easy driving distance. Car rental is available at all airports
