Stone built farmhouse set in the peaceful countryside, on the edge of a village overlooking the Forest Mayenne. Plenty of opportunities for picnics, walking or cycling, yet within easy reach of the main centres of Paris, Renne, Le Mans and Angers. High standard of accommodation throughout the property and large private garden.
For those who enjoy looking as well as sitting, this is an ideal opportunity to visit the many chateau and castles in the area. The nearby towns of Mayenne and Ernee have many cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. Traffic is very light compared with U.K. Parking is plentiful and free. For the young at heart, there is a night club nearby.

The Loire Valley / Mayenne region
Climate, very similar to Cornwall though a few degrees warmer. Mainly an agricultural area with very light traffic.
The nearby town of Ernee has an art festival in June. Aloncon ,with many medieval buildings is within easy reach, as is Le Mans with its motor museum and historic cathedral. St.Suzanne is a medieval town ,with jousting during the summer months.
Fougeres has a wonderfully preserved castle which is reputed to be the best in France. St. Ceneri-le-Gerei is said to be the prettiest village in France where many artist live and have their galleries, which are open to the public. You should not leave without a visit to Alps Marcelles an area of outstanding prettiness with dramatic scenery. The castle at Vitre is only about 25 Km. away and is well worth a visit.

The village overlooks the Forest Mayenne, with plenty of opportunities for picnics, walking or cycling, yet within easy reach of the main centres of Paris, Renne, Le Mans and Angers.
For the young at heart, there is a night club very close by. If you want to amuse the children, just north of Mayenne is a lake with man-made sandy beach, and water sports of all kinds. Mayenne takes its name from the river flowing through it and offers a taste of real France with its restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. It also has an 11th. century castle and ornate basilica of Notre Dame.
