Quiet rural location on road leading to the main beaches of Vassiliki. This modern property is clean, well equipped and well maintained. There are full catering facilities should you wish to eat indoors and plenty of restaurants for eating out.

Beautiful fishing village nearby (2km) approx, within walking distance. Lots of different cuisine. Superb activities for sailing, windsurfing and all water sports. Equipment available to rent for cycling (great mountain cycling) and car rental nearby. Tennis and swimming pool nearby (1km). Supermarket (1km). Beautiful location surrounded by hills.

The Ionian Islands region

Lefkas is one of the most beautiful islands in the region. It is a green mountainous region, rich in amazing vistas. There are several towns to visit and loads of island trips. The main town to the north of the island is Lefkas. Nidri is central to the east of the island, views of the island of Skorpios etc. Vassiliki is to the south it has lovely beaches. Not spoilt yet. Lovely fishing village, loads of restaurants and facilities. The people are extremely helpful and friendly.

Vassiliki area

There are so many things to do I will try to list them all. There is water rafting, mountain biking, windsurfing and all the activities that goes with that. Sailing, walking etc etc. The town itself is great for chilling out in the afternoon. Loads of fish restaurants and authentic greek dishes. Can't praise it enough.Situated on a wide bay on the South coast of Lefkas, Vassiliki is the second largest holiday resort on the Island. The village of Vasiliki itself is on the Eastern side of the bay - the Western side of the bay is called Ponti.



Vassiliki is fairly quiet at the start and end of the summer season, but really comes to life in July and August when it is recognised as one of the windsurfing capitals of Europe. The bay is wide and sheltered, and is noted for it's afternoon wind known as 'Eric'. On a good day, the sight of hundreds of windsurfers speeding across the water is spectacular.

Beaches - The beach is mainly pebble with some shingle, and is gently shelving. From the village you can also walk Southwards along the coastal path to the beach of Agiofili. This beach can also be reached by taxi boat during the summer season.

Harbour - The village of Vassiliki is not large, and still retains a lot of it's older buildings. There is a very pleasant harbour front area with pavement cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops. The harbour is a popular stopping off point for yachts and flotillas, and is also a boarding point for the ferry to Kefalonia and Ithaka in the main summer season.

Services - There are several bars, tavernas and restaurants, and one disco. There are no banks, but there is an ATM and money can easily be exchanged at the local travel agencies. Other facilities in the village include a Police Station, Medical Centre, Post Office, Bakery and Petrol Station. There is a public bus service to Lefkada Town, which varies in frequency throughout the year. There are almost no buses on a Sunday.

Activities and Sports - There are some pleasant walks in the area, which is fairly flat, and this also makes it a good place for cycling. But Vassiliki is best known for it's watersports - especially windsurfing and catamaran - and this is the place to learn. Best to reserve your lessons and equipment in advance.

The house is a stones throw from beaches, cafes, and fishing port. Loads to do windsurfing clubs abound with their own swimming pools you are able to use, windsurfing training available. Party, film nights. Fishing, snorkeling, island hopping. Loads to do.

The outside has a large patio at the front and barbeque to the rear both gardens are laid to lawn and maintained fully

There is a garage for equipment for water activities and parking area for car.

A full refund will be handed over at the end of your stay if the property has been maintained and no breakages have occurred. The air conditioning unit uses a great deal of power and works harder if on and doors are left open. Please be mindful of this.
