The annexe is light and airy with beams and stone wall. An ideal break for those who "want to get away from it all" and relax in a quiet, rural surrounding. It has character, not big,(but not too small ) and is homely and clean. Tiled floors throughout with lots of character. Double glass doors lead to a roof tiled Gazabo, surrounded by fly netting ( in the summer) with table and chairs , ideal for sitting, eating and enjoying the view of the fields( also for smokers). Sun loungers are available too.

We have also helped a few clients who have been house hunting, we can help with local estate agents and advice on buildings & renovations, as David is a registered Artisan.

The area is in the countryside, very rural with fields of corn, sunflowers , maize , sheep and horses and very quiet. Lots of country walks.

At the end of the quiet lane is a small pond, we have a spare rod for anyone who wants to have a dabble. "A little piece of heaven - ideal for relaxing and chilling!!!"

We were looking for a relaxing venue to chill out and we were not disappointed. Dave and Pike made us very welcome at Chez Amis. Dave introduced us to some good fishing spots in the region and we had some excellent days with some good catches. A very comfortable gite with everything you would need for a weeks break. We will definitely be returning as we loved the region very much. Thanks very much, Dave, for your help and hospitality. All the best, kind regards, Richard and Lynne Dann

Thank you both for your kind reviews we are pleased that your stay with us was exactly what you both needed.Look forward to you hopefully returning in the future

"A get away from it all"

This sums it all up, beautiful peaceful place to switch off. Amanda and Dave are full
of helpful advise if required. The house is spotless and a credit to them both, the work done to make it the perfect get away. It is not always that a holiday home exceeds your expectations but this did, on every level. The beautiful walks that the friendly Pike brought us on were amazing, to wake to nothing but the sound of the birds was a treat, the fresh eggs from the "girls" are a very welcome breakfast. The only thing wrong is time goes too fast and our two weeks are gone but we have many great memories and will be back for more.
See you all soon again
Geraldine and Declan

Thank you so much.
It was lovely to meet you both and we look forward to seeing you again and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Chez Amis. Thank you. ( Pike is waiting ).

"HEAVEN ON EARTH!"

Wow!! Yet another special holiday spent in the wonderful Chez Amis and with the most fantastic hosts! Mandy and Dave have yet again proved themselves to be the most kind, caring, considerate and friendly hosts. Nothing is too much for them and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and have a good time. Even Pike has taken a lead from them (excuse the pun!) and will happily take you for a walk around the tranquil settings of this heavenly abode, Ugly Betty will greet you with a thunderous purr whilst the hens will lay vast quantities of eggs in time for your arrival.
June and I cannot rate the week we had high enough. Again all the boxes have been ticked; the Gitte was immaculate, the surrounds provided the peace and tranquility we needed to recharge our batteries, the opportunity to investigate further afield was grasped and enoyed and again the departure time was definately not looked forward to. Even the lack of decent weather, despite Mandy's valiant attempts to improve it (!!) did not impact on our brilliant but short week. We love this little French dream so much we have already booked to go back this August and cant wait to get there!
We cant recomend Chez Amis high enough, even though this could impact on availability for our future holidays (oh yes, we will be returning more and more!). A massive thanks to Mandy and Dave and really looking forward to seeing you again in August. Chris and June xx

Thank you to you both.
As always its a pleasure to see you both and know you enjoy your relaxing holiday with us at Chez Amis.
You will always be welcome. Thank you

"Superb Paradise Experience"

Wow, claiming that our experience with Chez Amis was like an oasis of perfection would still be an understatement! From before our arrival, with weather updates and directions all seemed to good to be true. But then we arrived and a warmer welcome could not be experienced! A big smile and kind words accompanied by a cup of tea, a quick brief on the amenities and local area and we were taken to a spotless and well appointed Gitte, with a welcome pack far exceeding our expectations.
Our aim was to have a complete and utter switch off following a hectic and emotional year and this was achieved very quickly all thanks to Mandy, Dave and Pike! The fresh eggs and homegrown tomatoes (show off!!) were welcomed and devoured on more than one occassion, and the walks around the "hamlet" were peaceful and calm (as was Pike's direction and patience!).
I could go on forever extolling the virtues of Chez Amis and our hosts, so to avoid this and to sum it up the most honest statement I can make is that the only downside to our holiday was that it came to an end! The best part was everything that Mandy and Dave offer and provide and we can't wait for a return visit early next year!
A huge thank you to Mandy & Dave and see you again soon! xx

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay so much and plan to visit us again.
looking forward to seeing you both again.
Thank you

"Perfectly peaceful."

Lovely, clean and well presented self contained annex in the french countryside. Mandy & Dave are very helpful if you require assistance, if not they will leave you alone to get on with things yourself.
We have never tasted better free range eggs.
The setting is idylic, large open fields and the only noise you hear is bird song, horses or sheep. Nice views during the day and the night sky is amazing! There is no light pollution so the skys are so clear, stars from horizon to horizon.
The village, decent places to eat, visit or shop are a short drive away. Good local fishing or golf.
I am probably not doing myself any favours writing this review as when I try to book for next year all the dates will be full! This place is a perfect get away from it all break. We have stayed at places at double this price and been disappointed- but now we know of 'Chez Amis' we will be back.

Thank you for taking the time to review us and we are glad you enjoyed your visit.
Its good to know that you found the annexe clean and good value.
Thanks for visiting us and we look forward to seeing you soon.

"A wonderful place to relax"

A very comfortable annexe and owners who were friendly and extremely helpful. We spent a week there and didn't want to go home. We went on some lovely walks nearby and also visited Partheney and Poitiers which weren't too far. Looking forward to going back soon.

Its great to know you enjoyed yourselves and plan another visit, you will be most welcome.
Thank you

"Brilliant Holiday Rental"

Our stay at The Pretty French Gite was wonderful. On arrival we found everything spotless and beautifully kept, the welcome was warm and friendly and we were bowled over by the stunning views that surround it. There is plenty of exploring to do in the area but we mainly wanted to wind down and relax, taking in the scene. Good value for money, quiet peaceful setting, delightful property, good places to eat, good golf, All in all a brilliant holiday.

Many thanks for your review.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
See you soon and thanks.
