The Black Sea Coast region
With a coastline spanning nearly 400km (over 250 miles), the Southern Black Sea coast combines modern beach resorts with cultural sites like Nessebar, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Black sea temperature is warmer than the Mediterranean, with perfect sandy beaches. Take an organised tour to the River Danube and enjoy the evening boat trip, or enjoy some clear water diving off Kailiakra or a round of golf on the cliffs above Balchik.
Varna / Vinitza area
Visit the oldest Monastery in Bulgaria. Varna is home to the dolphinarium and Naval museum which houses artillery from the cold war - this should be interesting to both adults and children alike. Or just go shopping in Varna - the gypsy market sells everything from designer clothing and footwear at very reasonable prices. Walk round the flower markets - or visit the Cathedral - there is something for everyone to enjoy.
St Konstantine beach area has everything that children want when spending time on the beach, para gliding, banana boat, water rides, go karts, quads. The local hotels allow day visitors to hire sunbeds/umbrellas at very reasonable rates for a days hire.
The restaurants on the beach provide a good menu at affordable prices. When you've had enough on the beach, you can always visit the small market or 1 of the many restaurants which are only 5 minutes walk from the beach. There are barbecues and local restaurants with local folk music and dance which encourage the children to join in the fun. Definitely worth a visit!

Flights from London Gatwick go direct to Varna, and Dial a Flight - Tel: +448703332255 are reasonably priced even in high season. If going by taxi to the apartment, the taxi drivers will understand where to take you if you tell them 'Indian Restaurant' Vitinz, as the complex restaurant does Indian Food and has become well known throughout Varna.
