A gorgeous place to relax and laze in the sun in absolute peace and privacy, but with plenty of action only 10 mins away should you feel the need. It's perfectly suited to couples or families looking for a fantatic getaway, but who would also like easy access to all the facilities, entertainment and nightlife available at the beach or in the city. The Black Sea Coast region
The Black Sea coast offers many wonderful opportunities whatever sort of holiday you’re looking for. Whether it’s plenty of activity for all the family or just relaxing in the sun and doing nothing you’re after. Or perhaps you want to discover the nightlife and go out clubbing to the early hours. Maybe you want to go rambling in the countryside or visit the many historical or cultural attractions there are. Perhaps you want to completely pamper yourself and take advantage of the huge variety of healing treatments available including thermal mineral spa and mud treatments, plus massage, reflexology, etc. all available for extremely good prices. There are spas at Golden Sands, Albena, Balchik, St Constantine and Varna.
The Black Sea is an enclosed sea and hence the water temperature is actually higher than the Mediterranean. It’s not unusual on a hot summer’s day for the water temp to reach 25°C. It’s also non-tidal, so is very calm and safe for bathing and swimming for people of all ages. The Black Sea is actually half as saline as the Mediterranean. The majority of Bulgarian beaches have been awarded the EU Blue Flag for their environmental excellence.
The climate begins to warm up by the middle to end of March, when the temperatures can be already be up to 18 - 20 degrees C. This is when Spring begins to fully blossom and it's a very beautiful time to visit. Almond, walnut anc cherry trees are in full bloom The days are mostly clear and warm with very little rain, but as soon as the sun sets it gets a little chilly. By mid to end of May, the evenings are long and warm with temperatures in the mid 20's degrees C. July and August is the peak season with long beautiful Meditterean feel days and temperatures reaching the mid 30's degrees C. But June and September are usually equally gorgeous and the great weather often continues into October. It can be fairly cold in November and December but January and February are the coldest and wettest months, although temperatures rarely go below 0 degrees C on the coast.
Varna / Kranevo area
The villa is perfectly located between the resorts of Golden Sands and Albena, very close to the small town of Kranevo, which offer beautiful beaches, safe swimming, thermal mineral spas, many water sports, numerous supervised activities for children and fun for all the family, plus a huge choice of nightlife with numerous cafes, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and casinos. The small beach town of Kranevo is just 3 km away, where there are several good local small restaurants and bars within a few minutes drive. You can also purchase local produce at the small daily market and other provisions at a little supermarket. There is an ATM machine, public telephones and internet access. In the holiday season Kranevo comes alive with many tourist shops and restaurants/bars that open just for the season. Out of season the town in very quiet.
The beach at Kranevo is no more than a 25 minute walk from the villa, along a winding path down the hillside. There are also some other lovely walks that can be taken through the pine woods near the villa.
The delightful and historical city of Varna is a 25 minute drive from the villa, where there is a wide variety of tourist and cultural attractions including many museums and art galleries, theatre and opera house, cathedral, Dolphinarium, Aquarium, Roman thermal baths, Zoo, a huge beach side park, called the Sea Garden and the city beach. Varna also offers a huge selection of shops and markets, plus infinite cafes, bars, restaurants and nightclubs. To see what Varna has to offer take a look at:
The famous Botanical Gardens in the picturesque town of Balchik are just 21 km away. The wildlife sanctuary at Cape Kaliakra is also only a short drive away.

Further details indoors: The accommodation is arranged over three floors with sea views from every room. The ground floor is a large open plan area with a beautiful contemporary kitchen plus dining and living areas which all look out over a large terrace through three French windows. The entire ground floor has a terracotta tiled floor. The spacious bathroom is also on the ground floor and includes a separate shower, plus a bath with shower and a basin and toilet.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms with stripped pine floors and built in wardrobes and on the third floor there is a third double bedroom with balcony, also with stripped pine floor. All the bedrooms have double beds and look out over the terrace to the beautiful sea view.
Further details outdoors: A large paved terrace runs the full length of the villa, perfect for lounging in the sun and it's a great area for dining outside enjoying the peaceful summer evenings while watching the sunset with a glass of fine Bulgarian wine. There is also a separate barbeque area at one end of the terrace shaded by an old almond tree. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT: The villa is fully managed by a local agent who will prepare the villa for your arrival and look after all your needs during your stay. They also provide 24 hour English speaking telephone assistance. You can request to be picked up at the airport and if so a car will be waiting to take you straight to the villa and make sure everything is ok for you. There is no charge for this service. So right from the moment you arrive you can relax and start enjoying your holiday.
CAR HIRE: If you'd like to hire a car for your stay we can arrange it for you and have it delivered to the villa anytime. If you book through us we are able to get you the best price available locally.
CHILD CARE: We can also organise child care or baby sitting for you, at very reasonable rates, supplied by an English NVQ3 qualified nursury nurse resident in Varna.
