You will be able to completely relax here, pick the fruit and nuts in season, enjoy the full benefits of local forest walking, sun bathe by the pool or beach, beach cafe has great snacks and drinks, then eventually home to rest in very comfortable and secure surroundings. The Black Sea Coast region
Rakitnika is a village by the Black Sea Coast, just south of Varna. The area has a typical continental climate providing long hot summers and short cold winters. The local area is steeped in history and archeology, both of these represented in the Varna museums nearby. If you require the rumbuction of Golden Sands you will find it just 20 mins away from Varna. The village is still mainly Bulgarian but there are English & Irish families in the community along with Russian and German residents.
Varna / Rakitnika area
Nearby to Rakitnika you can visit the working vinyards and distilleries, sample the local Rakia - it really is special, walk in the forests amongst the varied wildlife and birds, beach fishing or para gliding, horse riding are all available locally. Within ten minutes by car you will arrive at some of the best restaurants in the Varna region where you can eat and drink the very best at prices you will not believe. The well stocked local stores will enable you to eat well at the villa also ! If you feel brave - Bungy Jumping from the Asperuchovo bridge on Fridays, good for hangovers I'm told !!
How to get there
Rakitnika is just 20 minutes by taxi from Varna International Airport, flights from UK airports are on the increase and you can now fly direct from most regional airports with prices starting at less than £ 100 return. The taxi service from Varna Airport can be ( like all airports ) expensive but alternative arrangements can be made to collect you with our local , cheaper, village taxi. Local car hire can be arranged in advance with car delivered and waiting for you at the airport together with easy instruction for route to the villa. This will be, on average, less than half the price of Airport car hire depots. For those not wishing to drive you can rely on the excellent and frequent bus service from Rakitnika into Varna.

Further details indoors: The interior of Villa Rakitnika is modern, bright and airy. The double glazing ensures your comfort whatever the external temperature, the lounge has an air handling unit fand brand new, powerful aircon for additional comfort and the well equipped kitchen has proved a popular layout with past clients. There is a typical " wet room " arrangement of shower, wc and whb. For those staying in the winter months there is electric room heaters and a great open fire in the lounge. From the master bedroom balcony you can view the surrounding forest and vinyard areas.
Further details outdoors: The gardens are surrounded by walnut and cherry trees, these provide shade when needed and the pickings are good ! The pool is 7m x 4m x 1.8mtr with paved surrounds. The pool is currently undergoing a total refurbishment with new tiling and pumps for 2008. The lower patio area is perfect for the sunloungers that are supplied and above is a BBQ patio where you can have a pig roast whilst you relax under the vines. If you have a car you can park inside the grounds, there is a further space outside. Rakitnika villa zone benefits from COT, a private security firm. The villa is fully alarmed for your additional feelings of security. The surrounding forest areas will ensure that you wake to the birdsong chorus every day.
Further details
The Villa Rakitnika swimming pool is winterised and therefore only normally available from May thru September, there are discounts available for out of season periods and extended rentals. There are especially attractive rates available for long lets out of season, just ask for details. We have brand new villa sleeping 4 in absolute luxury but not yet with pool, this is available from June at rates from £250pw and also a garden apartment sleeping 4 available from £150pw, just ask, we always try to please.
Conditions
A deposit of 20% is required to reserve your booking, balance in full is payable no later than 4 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of 20% of rental is payable and will be refunded on completion of rental subject to no damages being incurred. See our offers and discounts for early booking and payment

Out of season long term lettings will be subject to local fuel and lighting charges, payable locally in advance. There is no surcharge for Christmas/New year for long term out of season lettings. All long term lettings are negotiable dependant on your actual requirements, just enquire for best available rates.
May & June lettings for two or more weeks can be discounted by 10% by advance payment by Easter and July bookings paid in advance by Easter qualify for 12% discount. Returning guests qualify for a further discount of 5% whatever the period booked. Don't forget our excellent personal meet & greet at the airport and also heavily discounted car rental rates available with your booking. Early booking recommended for premium weeks which always fill early in the year - avoid disapointment.
