This beautiful, highly desirable apartment is situated on the ground floor of the well-positioned modern residence complex, which is built in an historical quarry on the sunny Varenna hillside, offering guests a tranquil and memorable holiday experience on an elevated eastern lakeshore position.

Apartment ID 503 enjoys spacious and luxurious accommodation with a stylish and modern open plan living area which features a comfortable seating area, Satellite TV, games console (Wii Sports) and iPod docking station.

The modern fully fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, fridge, electric oven and gas hob and all the desired appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine (please bring your own coffee pods as they are not supplied), to ensure your stay here is as convenient and relaxed as possible.

The adjoining dining area enjoys unrivalled views of the lake and is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner.

From the Lake view living area glass doors open out onto a sunny good-sized garden which is the perfect place to enjoy the good weather and panoramic Lake Como views, which are truly spectacular!

The Vista D’Oro residence offers resident parking and a splendid resident swimming pool which is well situated on the hillside to make the very most of the sunshine and breath-taking lake views.

POOL OPENING TIMES ~ 1st May - 30th Sept.

The sleeping accommodation is adaptable with a king size master bedroom and a sofa bed to the living area to accommodate additional guests if needed.

The newly fitted bathroom is equally stylish and beautifully finished with a power shower. A washing machine also features in the property for convenience.

A car is highly recommended due to the hillside location of the Residence.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps.

Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover them: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries.

It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations.

All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.

Warming, inspiring and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, oriented north-south, ringed by characterful old villages often wedged onto
narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Baroque gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo.

The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).

The Varenna / Perledo area

Guests can easily reach Varenna by car. The early Victorian part of Varenna provides a choice of lake view cafes, many fine villas and the famous and historical Castello di Vezio, which is situated on the Varenna hillside and which features frequent falconry displays and medieval re-enactments during the Summer through to Autumn time. A picturesque lakeside promenade takes guests along to the romantic medieval part of Varenna, which features medieval passageways, cobbled piazzas and ancient churches. There are many delightful restaurants and wine bars to enjoy as well as boutique craft shops to visit.

The car and passenger ferry as well as the Train service also operates from Varenna and Fiumelatte, providing guests with an enjoyable and care-free way of exploring Bellagio, Menaggio, other pretty Lake Como towns and also Milan.

A distinctive feature of Varenna is its mild climate; olive & cypress trees abound as well as many other variety's of lush, tropical plants, typical if the lake. Varenna enjoys abundant sunshine & warmth right into the evening. The International jet-set resort of St. Moritz is just 1.5 hours by car.

Making a Booking:

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
