The Goa region
Goa is known for its relaxed, laid -back atmosphere where u can shop at the fabulous markets, enjoy an alternative life-style making use of traditional healing and massages or enjoy the golf, deep sea fishing or water sports on offer. Or you can simply enjoy walking and swimming beside the 27 kilometers of beautiful golden sandy beaches, stopping off every so often at one of the beach restaurants for a taste of the extensive asian, chinese, goan and sea-food menu.
The magnificent scenic beauty and the architectural splendours of its temples, churches and old houses have made Goa a firm favourite with travellers around the world. But then, Goa is much more than just beaches and sea. It has a soul which goes deep into unique history, rich culture and some of the most beautiful natural scenery that India has to offer.
Much of the real Goa is in its interiors, both inside its buildings and in the jungles away from the coastal area.
Legends from Hindu mythology credit Lord Parshuram, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu with the creation of Goa.
Over the centuries various dynasties have ruled Goa. Rashtrakutas, Kadambas, Silaharas, Chalukyas, Bahamani Muslims and most famously the Portuguese have been rulers of Goa.
Having been the meeting point of races, religions and cultures of East and West over the centuries, Goa has a multi-hued and distinctive lifestyle quite different from the rest of India. Hindu and Catholic communities make up almost the entire population giving it a cosmopolitan outlook which fits well with holiday maker.
Varca, Cavelossim, and Mabor are the most beautiful beaches south of Benaulim. These beaches are much cleaner and quieter than most of the famous beaches of Goa. There are numerous beach restaurants offering a variety of Goan dishes and seafood at reasonable prices.
If you fancy a change the many rivers are available to be explored using a rice boat or traditonal Goan fishing boats where you are fed a 3 course meal on king prawns and sea bass and all the beer u can drink for less than £8.
The cost of living in Goa is a fraction of a normal holiday in Europe and continental food is as widely available as Asian and Chinese due to european influences over the centuries. Fruits and vegetables are very cheap and available all year round as the temperature hovers between 28 -32 degrees Celsius.
These beaches are home to some of the most exclusive and luxurious beach resorts in Goa. Accommodation is also available for budget and economy class travelers though not on the beach itself.
Christian, Hindu and Muslim festivals are all celebrated in Goa so there is always a party to go to or a parade to see. Whether its a trip to the jungle, or the river back waters ,or a visit to the spice farms with elephant transport or up to Anjuna for the live muisic or vast craft markets Goa has it all and many people come back year after year as a result.

We are arrived at Goa to be met by our driver which had already been pre arranged by Archie and Jane. We were met by Archie who showed us what we needed to know and that he would be avaliable should we need any help. Our bungalow was clean, very spacious and had everything you could need. We had hot water everyday, it was a great base to stay at and very restful. Our cleaner Amelia was a star and kept us in order during our stay! There is a lovely pool which you can actually swim in properly ! We had been to Goa previously so only went to relax but you would need to get out about as the property is quiet . A short stroll from the beautiful beach ! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and came back very chilled out !

"Beach beautiful a 200m"
We stayed at B2 Bungalow for 6 weeks. We are very pleased with our operating leases, clean and comfortable, facing the pool. managers Jane and Archie Remaining on site are highly reactive if a problem occurs and are also very good advice. Propriétée is maintained by against the entrance and the area around it deserve more sustained cleaning .... which renderait most welcoming Propriétée ....

the villa was lovely all the things you need for a good holiday, everything worked perfectly.
there one or two small hiccups but nothing that was resolved without fuss.
the only thing that let the place down was lack of tlc around the villa and pool area, there was a problem with the pool @ the time we where there, but heard the problem has know been resolved.

"Bungalow 2 Tarrika Gold Coast villas"
The bungalow itself is great, all you could want and poolside. Very disappointed that the beach shacks were not open when we arrived and would not be until near the end of our holiday. We were not aware of this when we booked, otherwise would have changed our dates. Also it states that a car is not essential, there are only two restaurants within walking distance, so you have to get a taxi, albeit these are very cheap, it's something you have to think about, even to go to the shops for essentials. Archie the owner is on site and is very friendly and helpful. We would return here but make sure the beach shacks were open so we could walk to them and have a sun bed for the day and get food and drinks. The food in restaurants is good and cheap and the service friendly, always with a smile,
Having said all the above are thoroughly enjoying, relaxing in lovely Goa..
Dear Brenda & Derrick - Thank you very much that you have taken the time to leave us a review. We are very happy that you are enjoying the comfort of our home & the relaxing surroundings in Goa. Regarding the Beach Shacks, the opening varies from year to year, sometimes earlier sometimes later. It can never be predicted. We are soory that you where disappointed with the late opening. The you for your kind words regarding our property & the good review for my assisstance. It was a pleasure having you as Guests & we do hope to be able to welcome you here in Goa again in the future. Kind Regards - Archie Jane & Amelia
