The Brittany / Morbihan region
Britanny is renowned for its customs and traditions. It offers many varied environnements with a succession of cliffs, dunes, estuaires, mud flats, and marshlands. The Gulf of Morbihan ("Morbihan" = "small sea") gave it's name to the department. It offers an exceptional panorama that can be enjoyed by boat or during a walk along the coast. The Gulf is heaven for yachtmen and boaters... A gentle climate in which a mediterranean vegetation flourishes, the beauty of landscape of everchanging colours and the soft beaches make the Gulf du Morbihan a popular tourist destination.
