Strathcona Home is a private, self contained apartment in a house containing three apartments. The rooms are light, and very spacious, with hardwood floors, and a friendly authentic heritage style, that we hope will make you feel right at home. you can soak up the sun in our private back garden or curl up by the window on the big couch in with a book from the library. With our extemely convenient location, and everything you need to look after yourselves, this is a great way to make your stay simple and affordable.
Strathcona is an area of Vancouver which seems to go unnoticed by the untrained eye;- and that's the way we like it! It is a a quaint historic neighborhood hidden away from the main streets, and the hustle and bustle of business. It is the most authentic area of Vancouver, with old wooden homes, lots of gardens, and a friendly community. commercial drive (grass roots culture central), main street (style and arts), groceries and cafes, and everything you could need are also all within walking distance.
This is really the most personal, reasonable, and stress-free way to live while spending time here. When it comes to planning your trip, there is so much less to think about. It is cheaper and much more spacious than a hotel, and has a whole lot more personality. it is a great way to have a genuine experience of this idyllic city.

How to get there
However you will be arriving, we are extremely convenient and easy to access. We are less than 1 km away from the central train and bus terminal, 2km from down town, and only a block away from major bus routes.
Arranging travelling to and from airports and ferries is a "no-brainer" as there is easy access routes to them all very close by. Let us know your travel needs, and we will be happy to recommend the easiest solution for you.
Biking is a great way to see the beauty of Vancouver, and the best bike route is only two blocks away, that leads you along the beautiful shoreline of False Creek, to the majestic forests and beaches of Stanley Park.
If you feel like exploring the mountains with a car, it is very easy to rent one, as and when you feel like it, with car rentals only 2 blocks away! Extreme convenience!
