The British Columbia region
British Columbia is famous for its expansive mountains, with lush old coniferous forests, its glacial rivers, and its mazes of islands. We enjoy a mild climate all year-round.
Vancouver is a paradise city for visitors. The parks, the trees, the beautiful bike trails, the beaches, the forests, and the ever-present mountains that cast their beauty all over the city. The lifestyle, the kind, easy-going people, the multicultural atmosphere.
You can access everything so easily from our convenient location. Organic cafes and restaurants, arts, fashion and music, shopping, entertainment, and so much to see and do. These are only some of the reasons Vancouver is widely considered the best city in the world to live in and visit.
ABOUT DEEP COVE
We are at the foot of 2 pristine provincial parks, on the South facing slopes of the coastal mountains which catches the best of the sun and ocean views.
At the end of our street you will find the charming little neighborhood centre of Deep Cove; a cluster of friendly restaurants, cafes, gift shops, kayak rentals, and a community cultural centre with gallery and stage for music, dance and theater. Enjoy a stroll through panoramic park, beaches, trails, and marina boardwalks. All of this, surrounded in the glorious landscape of islands, forests, and serene ocean.
The beautiful Baden Powell trail can be accessed just steps away from eagle's nest, which leads you through majestic Douglas Fir forest and over gurgling streams, up to 'the rock'; a clearing high above Indian Arm Inlet where eagles soar over this magnificent spacious landscape.
Our local mountains offer world class recreation facilities, including snow sports, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, fishing, golfing, winter Olympic venues, and more. Popular sight-seeing spots include a gondola and suspension bridge, and there are plenty of shops, and restaurants with excellent cuisine from around the world. All of these can be reached within a 10 minute drive from Eagles Nest.
We also have easy access to the sea to sky highway which leads through absolutely stunning mountain and ocean views to the world-famous 2010 Olympic snow sports park at Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains, about 1.5 hours away.
Come and surround yourself in the breathtaking beauty of this incredible place!

"fabulous location so close to the city, difficult to imagine a more perfect spot"
This property is perched on a steep hillside in Deep Cove overlooking the inlet of Indian Arm and the mountains beyond. It is difficult to imagine a more perfect spot which is so close to the centre of Vancouver, a 20 minute drive away. Spacious living accommodation and a wide deck are on the main level with 2 of the bedrooms, whilst the master bedroom is on an upper level with its en-suite and looks out over the sea. Waking to this view is absolutely magical and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Thank you so much for coming and writing this review. I agree that this view is magical. I wonder why anyone can leave the master bedroom in the morning. Many say they stay up there and have breakfast in bed. Luckily the view is exceptional on the main floor as well. There is nothing in this view with the water the forrest, the layers of mountain ranges, the huge sky and rich bird life that our guests tire of. The humming birds are busy just now and we have a bird feeder out to attract more. Lucky us. As spring is with us, the 25 varieties of rhododendrons in the garden are budding and blossoming at different times as well. Welcome back any time, it was great to have you here.

"Deep Cove is the best!"
Our sports team stayed at Eagle's Nest for an entire week instead of staying at a hotel. We loved the view and the peacefulness of the house and the relaxing feeling to the area. We had 2 super meals downtown, and were even treated to some of the infamous donuts. Every day there were boats on the water below to watch. It was a rainy week in January while we were there, but we enjoyed the big bright windows and being inside the cozy house. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and provided us with whatever supplies we needed throughout the week. A very comfortable place to call "home"!

"Beautiful Views in a spacious rental"
This is a great spot for all kinds of families and vacations. It has a nice spacious family area for gathering, eating and unwinding. Lots of sleep options and a view that is worth the trip. It is nearby the little twon of Deep Cove and minutes away from Mount Seymour. Our stay was in January and we should have forewarned the owner that we wanted to use the outdoor hottub since it wasnot ready to use when we arrived. Owners were great and bvery accomodating. It is definitely on my recommend list.

"Rejuenvate at the Eagle's Nest"
Eagle's Nest was our sanctuary for deep relaxation. From the hot tub to the majestic mountain and water views, we felt a sense of renewal we had not experienced in years! I tried reading a book on the deck and found myself seduced by the gentle sounds of the mountain stream putting me fast asleep. The ravens and eagles entertained us with their calls of the wild and acrobatic fly-bys. For dinning we enjoyed a five minute stroll down to the village to choose between elegant four course meals to deliciously mouth watering sushi with cold sake, to the simple but delicate tastes of home made pizza by the slice or round. Over time we tried them all and savored every bite. After dinner we would stroll through the waterside park or through the marina wondering what it would be like to have a month off to explore the mountains and shoreline beaches and coves by kayak or sailboat. We would return back to the “Nest” and the warmth of the fire place, check our emails, and then call it a day. Sleeping was like curling up on a cloud and then awakening to the fresh mountain air and sunshine vistas from the master bedroom. Inspiration comes very easily here. After a few days bathing in nature and relaxation, we left our retreat for an afternoon of shopping on Grandville Island and a night on the town in Vancouver. With Vancouver only twenty minutes a way we were tempted to explore more of Stanley Park and other sights but found it difficult to leave the serenity of our mountain retreat. It was hard to leave this abundance of nature and beauty behind but knowing we will be back to explore more of the nearby mountain trails and maybe take a kayak trip or two, made our departure a little easier. Enjoy!
What a delight to read your review. These are many of the reasons that we love living here in Deep Cove ourselves, the mountain air is so clean and invigorating. There are no end of logs for the fire with all the wonderful crackle and radiant heat to warm you. Nice to come back to after adventures or a soak in the hot tub outside, or the jacuzzi inside. Next time, we agree that kayaking is a great experience. 10km of fjord and so many islands and beaches to explore from the kayak rental here in the cove is heaven. It was lovely to see your little dog enjoy the safety of the enclosed deck and the beautiful trails in the woods and parks. Do come back again and enjoy more rejuvenation. Deanna

"Wow! What a location!"
Eagle's Nest has the most fantastic location and fabulous views. We had a great holiday break to meet up with family, the property has all the comforts you would expect and more. And the area is so beautiful, with fabulous walks in the woods. We highly recommend it, and are planning a return visit in 2012.
Congratulation on finding Vancouver's best kept secret of Deep Cove!!!!!!!!!Welcome back again in 2012. Certainly many people rate this as their favourite location in all of Vancouver, so you are not alone with your opinions. We have even better views for you now,as recently more view has opened up to the 2 marinas and also the park and beach below. We have repainted this year and added to the already well stocked kitchen. We look forward to seeing you again. Deanna

"Ideal location, beautiful house, and wonderful owners to work with"
My family and I are currently staying at the Eagle’s Nest house in Deep Cove, Canada. We are visiting for three weeks from the U.S. and we are having an excellent experience. We are enjoying our stay because the location is ideal, the house is beautiful, and Deanna and Paul (the owners and managers for the property) are extremely kind and generous in assisting us as visitors to Vancouver. Eagles Nest is ideally located for visiting Vancouver. It is just twenty minutes north from the city in a community called Deep Cove. We love the cozy feel of this community with the best homemade doughnuts we have ever tasted (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/honey-doughnuts-and-goodies-north-vancouver). Although the house is practically on sea level, it is just a fifteen minute drive away from Mt. Seymour Ski Resort (http://www.mountseymour.com). Eagles Nest is a beautiful house. It is super clean and tidy, it has a full kitchen with even an espresso machine, and it has an immaculate view of the nearby cove! In addition, there are two Jacuzzi tubs, one in the house and one in the backyard with a beautiful view. Even though we have loved the house and location, we most appreciate the friendly and helpful support from the managers of this property, Deanna and Paul. They have gone the extra mile in helping us during our stay. They have helped us get inexpensive tickets to go see local music shows, they have provided us with endless ideas for fun activities to do in town, and they are always there to assist us with any needs we may have. They are friendly, well educated, and a pleasure to work with. Overall, staying at Eagle’s Nest has turned out to be the best highlight for our trip to Vancouver. We highly recommend staying here because Deep Cove is an ideal location, the house is beautiful, and Deanna and Paul are always there to help. Although we will be sad to leave in one week, we look forward visiting Eagles Nest in the future.
Thank you so much for coming and taking the time to write a helpful review. We certainly enjoy to keep improving the standard of the house in all ways. It has been a pleasure to help you have such a positive experience. Please come again and enjoy the discount given to returning guests. Let us help you again with so many more things to explore in and out of the city. After 12 years here I still am surprised by finding gorgeous new hikes and venues in the city. Sincerely Deanna
