We can only provide a very basic taste of what you can expect when you come to visit us. You will have to come and experience the amazing beauty, the friendly people and the multitudes of exciting and relaxing things to do here in British Columbia.
Vancouver Island / Qualicum Beach area
Situated on a secluded beach front setting with the Strait of Georgia right at your door step, you can enjoy beach combing, bonfires, clam digging, oyster picking, and salmon fishing or rent a boat and tour the islands.
From early September to mid October, anglers from around the world descend upon our shores for the pink and Northern Coho salmon runs. Chest waders or belly boats are all that is necessary for an extreme day of fishing. View an abundance of marine life including blue herons, bald eagles, seals and many other species from the comfort of your patio or room.
The home is centrally located for day trips to many points of interest on Vancouver Island including horseback riding and cave spelunking at Horne Lake Provincial Park. The region is known as the "Island's Jewel.
Throughout the year, the area boasts the warmest temperatures and greatest number of sunny days. Superb scenery beckons from ever viewpoint. The ocean vistas take in snow-capped mountains on the mainland as well as offshore Islands blanketed with forests.
A Golfer's Mecca - there are sixteen courses within an hour's drive, offering a challenge to suit any skill level, many have panoramic ocean views and are open year round. Fifteen minutes north of Qualicum Beach that has retained its quaint British charm and has local live theatre, several seaside pubs and restaurants, unique shops, and you can have high tea at the late Lady Milner's Estate and Gardens

BC Ferries - Tswassen to Duke Point (Nanaimo), Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay (Nanaimo), Tswassen to Schwartz Bay (Victoria), Powell River to Comox. Schedules and rates available at www.bcferries.com .
Washington State Ferry - Anacortes to Victoria. Schedules and rates available at www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries . Port Angeles to Victoria. Schedule and rates available at www.cohoferry.com .
International flights land in Victoria and Comox. Regularily scheduled commuter float planes fly out of Vancouver South Terminal to Nanaimo. There are Baxter Air, Sea Air and Harbour Air. All major car rentals are available at the airport.

Cozy up around the propane FIRE PIT on our ROOFTOP PATIO or slip into the OCEANFRONT HOT TUB to experience the star lit nights as the CRUISE SHIPS pass. A CANOE and ROW BOAT is provided to explore the tranquil shoreline. Experience world class FISHINT right from shore or gather numerous CLAMS and OYSTERS. Enjoy a game of bocce, crochet or badminton in our private yard.

Guestbook for Secluded Beach Log Home
Location, Location, Location. Centrally located to everything we wanted to do on the island. Fabulous house with all the amenities. Linda and Jim Our family reunion was a success. Any requests or concerns were promptly dealt with from the owners whom live next door. The kids played all day in the yard which has a badminton net and space to run around. We Adults loved the roof top patio or the huge hot tub to relax in. We'll definitely be back. The Auchterlonies Outstanding views, incredible location and top notch Beach Home. Amazing wildlife...from seals and eagles to the deer that grazed right in front of our door. Great Beach House. We golfed at 7 different course on our weeks stay. Gathered clams and oysters from the beach everyday. And what can I say about that huge oceanfront hot tub..bottle of wine and the stereo under the stars!!!! The golf quartet We have found our Seaside Paradise! We toured just about the whole island from this location. Hiking trails abound. The Village has everything you need including Tennis Courts that were always available. See you next year. The Scheers
