The British Columbia region

Vancouver Island is British Columbia jewel in the Pacific! The Cowichan Valley is located in south central Vancouver Island, just north of Victoria. Inspiring vistas of valleys and vineyards, forests and farmland, sparkling lakes and crystal-clear rivers abound in this picturesque region. The many lakes and rivers offer good freshwater fishing, canoeing and boating, while the surrounding countryside is a haven for hikers, bikers, photographers and sightseers.

The Cowichan Valley is quickly earning a reputation for fine wine production, with several local vineyards offering wine tasting.

The picturesque seaside community of Chemainus, known as "The Little Town That Did", has attracted visitors from around the world to view one of the world's largest outdoor art galleries. Over 30 murals, depicting real people and life in earlier years, can be seen on the walls of businesses either on foot or by horse-drawn carriage.

Saltspring Island, with its large artist community, is a short and beautiful ferry ride away. The Saturday Market during the summer is not to be missed!

Golf courses abound on Vancouver Island, with several right here in the Cowichan Valley - two just 15 minutes away!

Take a short ride on the Mill Bay Ferry to Brentwood Bay and the World-famous Butchart Gardens. Saturday evenings in the summer offer a fantastic fireworks display. Take a picnic and enjoy both the gardens and the evening spectacle!

Victoria is a 45-minute drive by way of the Malahat with spectacular views of the Gulf Islands and past Goldstream Park.

Cycling: The Galloping Goose Trail offers miles of cycling right to the Victoria waterfront. Lunch outdoors with fabulous Inner Harbour, ocean or mountain views, then cycle Beach Drive along the waterfront.

Hiking: World-renowned West Coast Trail, Juan de Fuca Trail, Strathcona Park, Botanical Beach, French Beach, Sombrio Beach -- the list is huge!

Guestbook

We can't recall staying at any facility in a very long time where it was so quiet, giving us restful sleeps on a most comfortable bed. "Thank you for being so accommodating - we had the greatest time! The best part was the deck, bbq and hot tub - we really enjoyed being able to use the bbq!" T. Taylor, NWT, Canada

"We have enjoyed being in your suite for the past month. We were very comfortable and the location has worked well. We have appreciated your kindness and friendliness." Mr. & Mrs. Allan, Ontario
