British Columbia is located on Canada's West Coast. Vancouver Island can be reached by ferry from the mainland, from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. Relax and enjoy the views from the ferry!

Superb hiking and walking trails are found throughout the area. Stroll along the ocean or through the peaceful quiet of the forest, or enjoy a more rugged hike to breathtaking viewpoints. Pack a picnic and enjoy a swim at the local "Sooke Potholes", a favourite swimming spot for those hot summer days.

Vancouver Island / Sooke area

East Sooke is known for its lush forests and spectacular ocean vistas. This quiet rural area feels like its own world, yet it is located only a 20 minute drive from the towns of Sooke and Langford, 40 minutes drive to Victoria, and 1 hour from the ferry terminal and airport.

The scenery is simply spectacular. East Sooke is called "Nature's Gallery" for good reason!

How to get there

Located 40 minutes drive from Victoria, on spectacular Vancouver Island. Accessible by air or by ferry through BC Ferries service. The cottage is located in on a quiet country road overlooking the ocean, in a beautiful natural area known as East sooke, "Nature's Gallery"! Lush forests and breathtaking ocean vistas are abundant.

Comfort Cove Seaside Cottage has three levels and sleeps up to 6 people.

MAIN LEVEL: You will enter the cottage on the main level. Turn your head and be greeted with a wall of windows that showcase the amazing views! The main level includes a cozy bedroom with comfortable double bed; a bathroom with tub / shower; fully-equipped kitchen; and spectacular views from the living and dining rooms!

UPPER FLOOR: The upper level is where the master bedroom is located. The views will take your breath away when you walk into this room! The luxurious king-size bed is wonderful for those mornings where you just want slowly wake up while being swept away by the views. There is an half-bath en suite.

LOWER LEVEL (WALK-OUT): The lower floor offers a second living room, or can be used as a bedroom for those that desire extra privacy. A double pull-out sofabed is available on this level, as are the washer/dryer. This level is heated by the woodburning stove.

Further details outdoors:
- A large parking area located in front of the cottage can comfortably accommodate 3 cars.
- The private dock is a great place to hang out on a sunny day.
- Two benches are located near the water, under the shade of a tree. Relax with a good book!
- Outdoor firepit (seasonal - all local fire regulations must be adhered to).
- The deck offers a small patio set, a wonderful spot to enjoy your morning coffee while breathing in the fresh morning air and the views.
- A picnic table is located at the back of the cottage.
- For maximum privacy, the cottage property is fully fenced, with the exception of the waterfront.

Comfort Cove Cottage is well-equipped for your comfort. Bedding & linens are provided, and the kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. The cottage is SELF-CATERING. Items you will need to bring include: clothing, personal items, toiletries, a calling card for long-distance calls, and food (there are grocery stores on the way to the cottage, as well as in the town of Sooke). Please bring your laptop computer if you wish to access the wireless internet.

Conditions

Well-behaved dogs with responsible owners are welcome with pre-arrangement. Property fronts onto tidal waters and, like many natural oceanfront properties, has steep sections that are not suitable for young children or guests with mobility problems.

Long-term bookings will be considered for November through to March.

One-time cleaning fee of Canadian $175 applies to all bookings (cleaning required every two weeks for extended stays). Rates include all utilities. Guests are required to sign a Guest Agreement. Rates subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Additional Canadian $10/night or Canadian $50/week per pet if approved. Taxes are additional.
