About the home

Castille suites Mansion enjoys an enviable position overlooking the Upper Barakka Gardens and minutes away from Valletta's main square. The Baviere is on the second floor of this newly restored 17th century mansion. Should this suite be reserved we shall offer an alternative. All suites are distinctive in character and for the independent minded.

Major attractions, food stores and a bus terminus to all destinations including the Gozo ferry and Malta's sandy beaches are less then 5 minutes walk away. Peace and tranquility is to be had in the beautiful Barakka Gardens opposite the Mansion, which afford 360 views over the famous Grand Harbour. Bed linen and towels are provided on arrival and final cleaning on departure is free of charge. A complimentary 24 hour taxi service from the airport is included in the cost. Air conditioned and heated. Approved by the Malta Tourism Authority.

The suite is equipped with a kitchenette, separate bedroom, bathroom ( some en suite ) and sitting area with flat screen multi - channel TV. Brand new with all he latest commodities the apartments are done up in a functional minimalist style, the suite having its own distinctive character. Sofas are in real leather, bedrooms are furnished with orthopedic mattresses and anti allergen cotton sheets and pillows, bathrooms with Italian design ceramic tiles, powerful shower head. Wi-fi available throughout. Air conditioned and heated.

Directly opposite the lovely Upper Barakka Gardens with their splendid panoramic views of the Grand Harbour and less then 3 minutes walk to Republic Street Valletta's main street where one can find the majority of Museums, shops and restaurants , and the main Malta bus terminal, with regular buses to all destinations including beaches and major sights. Five minutes walk away is St John Square with the Cathedral which bears the same name and houses the famous paintings by Caravaggio. A characteristic and busy flea market Sunday morning is twenty minutes down the road. Air conditioned and heated.

The suite is stylishly furnished and we trust guests to look after the apartments and report any breakages.
To start off your holiday in comfort we provide an arrival taxi transfer from the airport ( 24 hour service ) and we can also arrange your return. Should the suite be booked we can offer you an alternative suite in the same building. Air conditioned and centrally heated.
In house laundry service is provided at an extra charge. No hanging of washing on makeshift lines allowed on balconies and widows.

The Valletta / Central Valletta area

Up till a few years ago Valletta was off the beaten track or even shunned by most visitors who came simply to soak up the sun. Discerning travelers have however discovered the beauty and charm of this UNESCO world heritage sight - so much history condensed in a peninsula barely 5 square kilometers. A city which has seen kings, emperors, poets and painters, come and go as it stands aloof on a hill enclosed within its fortifications.

What is there to see - magnificent St John's Cathedral and Museum with the largest painting Caravaggio ever painted, the Manoel theater, Europe's oldest functioning theater, the Grand Masters' Palace and armory - the list is never ending.

Valletta is also the hub and interconnection point for all buses be it to the Medieval capital Medina, Malta's beaches or Sliema and St Julians if you enjoy night-life. Getting around the island could not be easier and you certainly do not need car hire if you elect to spend your holidays in Malta's Capital city. Sliema can also be reached by a 10 min ferry service.

Pavement cafe's along Republic street, a favourite promenading street for the Maltese with its trendy shops, breathtaking views from the Baracca Gardens, gourmet restaurants - you will need good walking shoes.

Malta is served by frequent daily flights from the UK and the European mainland. Air Malta the national carrier operates from major capital and regional cities as do also a frequently increasing number of budget airlines. A catamaran connects Malta to Sicily.

We provide a complimentary private taxi transfer from the airport to the Palazzo.
Return taxi is available and paid directly to the driver. A bus service from the Valletta bus terminal ( walking distance ) operates directly to the airport.
