Beautifully finished, newly refurbished maisonette located on the seafront fortifications of Valletta with stunning 180 degree panoramic sea-views of Marsamxett harbour and Manoel Island, all the way out to the open Mediterranean sea – unique views unmatched by any 5-star hotel accommodation on the island. The photos speak for themselves.

The view is enjoyed from a very wide frontage, including a traditional Maltese balcony and two large windows. The deep blue sea glistens below you during the day; you will find yourself unwinding while watching yachts sail out of the harbour and admiring the sun set over the historic beautifully restored fort on Manoel island.

The property is over 150 years old and is accessed from a pedestrian terrace also enjoying the open sea views. Accommodation is very spacious - the main door on the pedestrian terrace leads directly into the property's entrance hall at ground floor - a private entrance hall that is not shared with any other property. An intermediate level leads you to the main accommodation on second floor - very large open plan living / kitchen / dining, guest w/c, main bedroom with large double bed, dressing room with his and hers dressing tables and plenty of storage space (please refer to the plan layout in the photos section). A spa-inspired en-suite with a fantastic extra large walk-in rain shower compliments the main bedroom. All finished to the highest standards with solid wooden floors throughout.

A sofa bed for extra accommodation can be organised upon request.

The Island of Malta region

The Valletta / Central Valletta area

Valletta, The Fortress City, Citta' Umilissima, “a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen” is Malta's capital city: a living, working city, the administrative and commercial heart of the Islands. Valletta is named after its founder, the respected Grand Master of the Order of St John, Jean Parisot de la Valette. The magnificent fortress city grew on the arid rock of Mount Sceberras peninsula, which rises steeply from two deep harbours, Marsamxett and Grand Harbour. Started in 1566, Valletta was completed, with its impressive bastions, forts and cathedral, in the astonishingly short time of 15 years.

Valletta has many titles, all recalling its rich historical past. It is the “modern” city built by the Knights of St John; a masterpiece of the Baroque; a European Art City and a World Heritage City. Ruled successively by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs and the Order of the Knights of St John, it is one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world.

The city is busy by day, yet retains a timeless atmosphere. The grid of narrow streets boasts some of Europe's finest art works, churches and palaces.

Hosting a vast cultural programme, walking around Valletta you’ll come across an intriguing historical site around every corner: votive statues, niches, fountains and coats of arms high up on parapets. Narrow side streets are full of tiny quaint shops and cafés, while Valletta’s main streets are lined with larger international branded shops for fashion, music, jewellery and much more.

Many international airlines fly cheaply to Malta International Airport. Catch a taxi right to your doorstep (approximately 20 minutes drive from the airport) or travel with public transport to the central bus-station in Valletta (approximately ten minutes walk away). The sea-ferry to the commercial area of Sliema is less than 5 minutes walk away (approximately a ten minute trip across the harbour).

This property is also ideal for people arriving from the cruise-liner and sea-ferry terminal, located on the Grand-harbour side of Valletta.

“Yet another perfect stay - a unique apartment in a stunning setting” Yet another perfect stay at this superb Valletta apartment - having stayed here before, we didn't hesitate to book it again, and loved it both times! The apartment is ideally situated in Malta's charming capital city, just a few minutes' walk from the shops, must-see tourist attractions (such as St John's Cathedral and Manoel Theatre) as well as a number of great restaurants, cafes and wine bars. The apartment is also conveniently close to the ferry service to Sliema and the main bus terminal, so not having rented a car was not an issue for us at all. The panoramic view is unparalleled, overlooking Manoel Island and Marsamxett harbour - sipping a glass of wine by the balcony made us feel truly relaxed, as if we were floating over the sea! We ventured out most evenings - Peter, the owner, was very helpful and pointed us in the direction of the best places to eat and drink (Rubino and Trabuxu were our favourites) - however as we often stay in self-catering accommodation we were also delighted that the apartment itself was very well equipped for a holiday let and we found everything we needed. We were also pleased to find that it has a private entrance. It was also spotlessly clean, not to mention seriously stylish (the walk-in rain shower deserves a mention)! Altogether a wonderful stay - totally recommended - and we hope to be back soon! Thanks Peter!

“Great views over Manoel Island and Sliema, very challenging for the walking impaired.” We spent 2 weeks in this apartment there was no intermidate service but this was probably offset by a discount for 2 week stay. The position of the apartment in Valletta was very convenient and no car was necessary, the bus service is excellent and bus station is within a short walk as was the ferry to Sliema. Valletta remains relatively unspoilt and we walked just about every street. Plenty of choice in restaurants but very limited choice for self catering purchases. We found both eating out and food costs more expensive than at home, wine however was cheaper and of good quality. The apartment was quite comfortable but was lacking in some areas to be 5 star quality- some of the crockery and cutlery was minimal and needs replacing, only english speaking TV programs were CNN and Euro News, a clock and coffee maker would be useful additions. One bonus was the 18Mbs complimentary broadband. We did find the bed uncomfortable, The addition of a mattress topper would improve comfort. We found the shuttle bus transfer from airport was excellent and half the cost of a taxi, the shuttle service desk is in the arrival baggage hall and they provide an excellent service in taking you anywhere and pickup for return flight home. Response: Hi and thank you for your comments as it is the best way to keep improving the quality of stay for my guests. The property is accessed from the main door on the street directly into the entrance hall at ground floor - a private entrance hall that is not shared with any other property. This leads to an intermediate level and up to the main accommodation on second floor, as is described in the property profile. The television service has a basic subscription, however I did notice that you were on a limited page on the cable channels – the green button on the remote control would have released quite a few more channels, also in English! Of course all guests also have the option to upgrade the television service on request. Intermediate service for longer stays is also on a request basis, as many guests prefer their privacy in the self-catering apartment. I upgraded the crockery to ensure it is to all guests' satisfaction, and as a standard I leave complimentary tea and coffee for all guests in the kitchen. The bed has a new top quality orthopedic mattress. However, I want to ensure that all guests are as comfortable as possible and have upgraded with a memory foam topper – I was assured that this gives the best quality of sleep to satisfy everyone's comfort standards. “Beautiful, comfortable apartment in a superb position in Valletta” The apartment is in an outstanding position on the harbour in Valletta. It is very well laid out, well appointed and comfortable. It is a peaceful place to come back to. It is an excellent base to explore Valletta and the rest of Malta. This was our first visit to Malta. Having made good use of the Arriva buses and toured around the island, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The owner was very helpful, checking that we had no problems - which we didn't. There are two flights of stairs, but this adds to the great position and the views that can be seen from the apartment. Highly recommend this apartment.

“What a fabulous apartment in a superb location overlooking the harbour, Manuel Island and Sliema” We have just returned from a perfect fortnight in the Seafront Apartment in Valletta and cannot recommend it enough to anyone wanting luxury accommodation only a few minutes' walk from the beautiful, historic city of Valletta and all its cafes, bars and restaurants - as well as shops, of course, and cathedrals, museums. Peter Valentino met us on our arrival and welcomed us warmly with lots of useful information about Malta and Valletta in particular and left us with some invaluable literature which we loved reading during our stay, especially his recommendations of places to eat in Valletta, most of which we tried at least once during our stay. Malata, Legligin and Trebuxxu Wine Bar were particularly good as were some bars and cafes which became favourites - Kantina, Cafe Cordina and Cafe Mateo. We will definitely return to Malta and will highly recommend the Seafront Apartment to any friends wanting a break in Valletta.
