Tripadvisor ' Certificate of Excellence 2012 & 2013' award winner.
Fully Air conditioned and heated. Approved by the Malta Tourism Authority. We offer a complementary taxi on arrival, regular maid service and towel change, no hidden charges such as extra charge for electricity, air con, heating, final cleaning etc
The Penthouse sits on top of 'Palazzo Citta Valletta ' which dates from 1622.The recent restoration made it possible to create four spacious luxuriously appointed apartment suites within total respect of the original structure and functions of the house, but also respecting your privacy as well as providing the full intimacy and warmth of your own home. The property is grand but relaxed and the romantic ambiance is noticed the moment one walks through the original 17th century door. We have recently been singled out by the Malta Tourism Authority for the sympathetic restoration and excellence of product.
A unique experience to share in the day to day living within an authentic 16/17th century “Maison de Ville” which has been lovingly restored to its former glory over the past five years, after several years of abandon and neglect.
The “Patron”' of the house has opened the house to a few select guests wishing to relive the splendor of Valletta's glorious past. A totally new concept in Maltese hospitality not unlike Riyadhs in Morocco, Paradores in Spain and Posadas in Portugal, offering a high end lodging alternative to hotel accommodation in Malta.
The ' San Angelo ' panoramic penthouse suite is one of four each of which has its own distinctive character. It sits on the top of the Palazzo and commands sweeping views of the Grand Harbour and the sea beyond from its two large terraces.
I00 meters from San Gwann Square the main square of Valletta, the Valletta fruit and vegetable market, food stores and 10 minutes from Malta's main bus terminal.

The Island of Malta region
The Mediterranean's best kept holiday secret has made a comeback in recent years and is once more a favourite holiday destination offering a blend of cosmopolitan and traditional backed by a wealth of cultural heritage that makes the Maltese archipelago appear so much larger then its actual size.
Sea, sun, excellent restaurants, trendy shops and the unmistakable Maltese hospitality are a constant attraction.
Visit during the summer months if you enjoy the merry making of village fiestas ( a different one every week starting June ) or during the winter months for a more relaxed tempo. Winters in Malta are very mild and the countryside abounds with colourful wild flowers.
Visit wwwvisitmalta for an excellent informative web site.
Up till a few years ago Valletta was off the beaten track or even shunned by most visitors who came simply to soak up the sun. Discerning travellers have however discovered the beauty and charm of this UNESCO world heritage sight - so much history condensed in a peninsula barely 5 square kilometres. A city which has seen kings, emperors, poets and painters, come and go as it stands aloof on a hill enclosed within its fortifications.
What is there to see - magnificent St John's Cathedral and Museum with the largest painting Caravaggio ever painted, the Manoel theater, Europe's oldest functioning theatre, the Grand Masters' Palace and armoury - the list is never ending.
Valletta is also the hub and interconnection point for all buses be it to the Mediaeval capital Medina, Malta's beaches or Sliema and St Julians if you enjoy night-life. Getting around the island could not be easier and you certainly do not need car hire if you elect to spend your holidays in Malta's Capital city. Sliema can also be reached by a 10 min ferry service.
Pavement cafe's along Republic street, a favourite promenading street for the Maltese with its trendy shops, breathtaking views from the Barakka Gardens, gourmet restaurants - you will need good walking shoes.

"MIssed the Mark"
Our first disappointment occurred when, after airort pickup, we were depoositied at another rental site and the manager/owner told us he had made a mistake and doubled booked the property that we had … More
Guest was holding a double booking with us at two different apartments both panoramic penthouses but in two different buildings approximately 200 meters distance away from each other. We have 10 apartments in all in Valletta.
The first apartment which the guest gives the impression he did not want to stay in does not come under scrutiny but the second which he seems so keen he wanted disappointed. The second apartment is more expensive then the first.
One step -There is indeed a step about 15 cms high dividing the open plan lounge and kitchen/dining area placing it on a higher level thus enabling whoever is cooking around the kitchen island to enjoy views right down the apartment to the harbour and sea beyond.
One sneeze - Noise factor in the whole building must be very low.
Huge couch - white designer Italian leather sofa with 2 side tables for placing coffee cups down, strategically placed to make the most of the view.See pics.
Blinds - If you do not know how to use the blinds you ask and not break, had to call a man to refit after guests left. One blind irreparably damaged.
Round windows - The theme of the apartment is ocean liner since it projects over the harbour with views of the sea and overlooks the entrance to the busy harbour - a joy to watch the big cruise liners maneuvering to enter and leave the harbour.
This is a designer finished apartment with a wow factor but it seems it did not meet this guest's approval.
We do our own in house laundry to ensure the softness of the towels.
We also service our apartments daily, included in the cost of the stay, and although it was not brought to the cleaner's attention. after the first night we had to change and throw away one whole set of soiled bed sheets, mattress saver, duvet and duvet cover.
The cost of the bed linen set came to 200 euros and the broken blind another 150 euros. We did not charge the guests.

We found this property thanks to Tripadvisor. The reviews certainly did not disappoint! As seasoned travellers,we were particularly charmed by this property and the warm hospitality we received.we both wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to our next visit. The complimenary pick-up,water and wine were much appreciated, particularly as our flight arrived late-evening.Our charming host was there to greet us with tips on late dining and next-morning shopping possibilities..the appartment was very well-equipped and the standard of accommodation very high.We didn't self-cater,apart from breakfast, but all mod-cons provided.

"A hidden gem"
High up on the top of a beautiful ancient Valetta "Palazetto" is this amazing, modern penthouse apartment. The views across the Grand Harbour from the spacious terrace must be amongst the most spectacular in town. We spent many happy hours just watching the huge liners coming and going. The apartment is light and airy and very well appointed. We used the kitchen a lot and it had everything we needed with useful pots and pans. However, just a short stroll away are all the sights of Valetta with many cafes and bars to suit all tastes. The bus station is also close by should you want to go further afield.
Our host, Franck, was always unfailingly helpful and full of useful local knowledge. Living on the premises meant that if we needed anything he was always on hand. His beautiful house is full of surprises but this penthouse apartment must be the greatest one of all. Oh, and in case you were worried, there's a lift that takes you up to your place in the sky - just as well after a hard day's sightseeing.
