Casa Amarilla is situated in the residential area of Borbalan literally 2 minutes walk from the harbour village of Vueltas and 5 minutes walk from Vueltas beach and the "Baby Beach" of Charco del Conde. It's proximity to beaches, shops, bars, restaurants, banks etc makes it the ideal holiday house for families with small children or groups of people who want to be central but in a quiet neighbourhood.
A modern, 3 bedroomed, terraced townhouse featuring a large, high-ceilinged living room with leather sofas and hand carved, wooden furniture from indonesia.
The fully equipped spacious kitchen and dining area leads to a large enclosed patio which is equipped with dining table and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining.

·Upon entering the main house you will find yourself in the living area containing comfortable seating with leather sofas and featuring an impossibly high ceiling and the creamy natural stone paved steps to the upper levels.
·The large all mod cons kitchen, proximity to supermarkets and inside and outside dining areas make this the ideal property for keen cooks and people who don't wish to dine out every night.
·On the ground floor you will also find a shower room with WC and basin.
·On the first floor you will find a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, one with a small balcony.
·All bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes.
·The main bathroom on the first floor has a large bathtub with shower fitting which is seldom on the Canaries and ideal for children's bathtime or a long candlelit soak.

·The gated entrance to the property provides an ideal place to leave bicycles, prams, buggys etc.
·The rear enclosed patio is a great play area for children and a wonderful dining space.
·There is a utility room off the patio containing all laundry facilities.
·The upper level sun terrace on the front of the building is ideal for catching a few afternoon rays.

The La Gomera region


The dramatic, volcanic landscape of the island of La Gomera makes it arguably the most beautiful of the Canary islands. The rugged rocky cliffs broken by various valleys and ravines are topped by a mystical sub-tropical rainforest. There are so many different microclimates that a 20 minute drive can leave you doubting whether you`re still on the same island. The eastern side of the island is more wet and verdant and the western side including Valle Gran Rey is warmer and sunnier in winter.
Not having been taken over by mass tourism means that the atmosphere on La Gomera is also totally different to the more developed islands like Tenerife and Lanzarote. It has much more of a local feel and people always have time to stop and help you out.
The Valle Gran Rey / Borbalan area
Valle Gran Rey is the main destination on La Gomera for the independent traveller and has three main beaches and the Charco del Conde's "Baby Beach" which is a small shallow bay perfect for toddlers (5 minutes walk from the house). The beach at Vueltas, the harbour beach, is also very close by and also suitable for children as it doesn't get big waves. 10 minutes walk away you will find the main stretch of Playa de Calera and another 5 minutes from there lies the wild and rugged naturist beach, Playa del Ingles. This beach can be dangerous for swimming especially in winter.
The neighbourhood of Borbalan is a quiet residential area situated next to the neighbourhood of Vueltas, the harbour district, where you will find shops, bars, restaurants etc. The banks and post office are in Borbalan itself.

It is a very quiet house, with a helpful neigbarhood. You find everything you need, except TV and WIFI; But who needs that in the vacancies !! Cleaning was our stuff, that could be solved beeter. I think, a cleaning women every 7 days could be helpful. Response: Thanks for your review. I will be sure to organize a cleaner for you when you come back in March. You can watch tv in Spanish & English but I'm afraid there are only a couple of German language series which you can see in their original version. Bis bald! |
