Casa Amarilla is situated in the residential area of Borbalan literally 2 minutes walk from the harbour village of Vueltas and 5 minutes walk from Vueltas beach and the "Baby Beach" of Charco del Conde. It`s proximity to beaches, shops, bars, restaurants, banks etc makes it the ideal holiday house for families with small children or groups of people who want to be central but in a quiet neighbourhood.

A modern, 3 bedroomed, terraced townhouse featuring a large living room with leather sofas, a fully equipped spacious kitchen and dining area and an enclosed patio equipped with table and chairs which is ideal as a children`s play area and for al fresco dining.

The La Gomera region

The dramatic, volcanic landscape of the island of La Gomera makes it arguably the most beautiful of the Canary islands. The rugged rocky cliffs broken by various valleys and ravines are topped by a mystical sub-tropical rainforest. There are so many different microclimates that a 20 minute drive can leave you doubting whether you`re still on the same island. The eastern side of the island is more wet and verdant and the western side including Valle Gran Rey is warmer and sunnier in winter.

Not having been taken over by mass tourism means that the atmosphere on La Gomera is also totally different to the more developed islands like Tenerife and Lanzarote. It has much more of a local feel and people always have time to stop and help you out.


Valle Gran Rey / Borbalan area

Valle Gran Rey is the main destination on La Gomera for the independent traveller and has three main beaches and the Charco del Conde's "Baby Beach" which is a small shallow bay perfect for toddlers (5 minutes walk from the house). The beach at Vueltas, the harbour beach, is also very close by and also suitable for children as it doesn't get big waves. 10 minutes walk away you will find the main stretch of Playa de Calera and another 5 minutes from there lies the wild and rugged naturist beach, Playa del Ingles. This beach can be dangerous for swimming especially in winter.

The neighbourhood of Borbalan is a quiet residential area situated next to the neighbourhood of Vueltas, the harbour district, where you will find shops, bars, restaurants etc. The banks and post office are in Borbalan itself.

·Fly to Tenerife South then take a bus or Taxi to the port of Los Cristianos (20 minutes).
·Take the Garajonay Expres (www.garajonayexpres.com) to the port of Vueltas, Valle Gran Rey (1 1/2 hours).
·The house is a 5 minute walk away from the port.

·On the ground floor you will also find a shower room with WC and basin.

·On the first floor you will find a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom with a small balcony.

·All bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes.

·The main bathroom on the first floor has a large bathtub with shower fitting which is seldom on the Canaries and ideal for children`s bathtime or a long candlelit soak.
